42 must go up to 150 bitcoins per coin so it will be close to the 200th position of the market cap. At the moment it's at the 635th position with a value  about 7 bitcoins.. Very underrated..42 must be included at least in the best 200 crypto-coins soon!

Still keeping an eye on Nova. And trying another pair -- BTC-42 -- on Livecoin.

What do you think about localbitcoincash.org?

In case of listing there, users will be able to exchange 42 for other cryptocurrencies and buy/sell 42 with local fiat currencies.
They are ready to add us for 2 BCH only. If you are interested, send desirable amount of BCH to this address: 183WBGyZbNGaZ7ywud2SnNH1r3KaL7DiYa.
Thank You.

I will risk making an idiot of myself. Someone PM-ed me, wondering if Laser's account had been hacked, as the localbitcoincash thing seemed a bit sudden.

Has anyone analysed this site? Got experience with it?

Are you there, Laser?

If I have erred here, mea culpa.

Yes, the site is still very new (launched on Oct-2017), but it seems legit for me:

Their other projects:
http://mobtwo.com/
https://crowdtwo.com/

Exchanges with similar features requested much more for listing.
Maybe someone has a better idea on how to spend these funds for the purpose of 42?

My outfit, IndiaMikeZulu, sees decentralised exchanges as the future of cryptos. Full stop.

I've never been keen on paying for exchange listings, but okay.

What a fine thing it would be to see a crypto like 42 stick to a libertarian model -- it's always about the values of the community -- and make ourselves a powerhouse of dexchange trading/p2p.

EDIT: We trialled BISQ (Bitsquare), and truly loathed it. And on the list at present are Flyp, Cryptowolf, and altcoin.io

IMZ, thank you for the exhaustive answer. Already contacted with BarterDEX team, we need to implement the gettxout API call and they will intergrate our coin.

Join our telegram channel: https://t.me/newchain42.

I will put in an appearance, but perhaps more so look after the shop here.

And:

Got an idea to kick around: talked to our accountant today. It's increasingly clear that newcomers make almost no distinction between old-school POWs and the most Wall-Street-ish permissioned-ledger blah blah token. THUS: we gotta start actually advertising ourselves _as_ immutable (fixed number of units, no rollbacks) instruments: currency, store-of-value.

Simple . . .

I found today a wallet of 42 coin with 0.0036 42s inside, which I mined back in the days and I have totally forgotten in the meanwhile. I just learned about this new chain and swap. Is it too late?

I would PM Lasergun, but I think it is indeed too late.

I like Livecoin, was trading on it before I started looking under the bonnet of 42-coin. Still, its trading-bots are wound up a bit too tight for the tiny volume. Been trying to get .25 Btc of 42, without any luck -- because of the bots -- until today. Whoo!

Hello,

Ive noticed that mining dutch is still offering a pool to mine 42.

Is this the old chain? or the new?

And this is just for transactions right?

Greetings

Hi!
New chain. Yes, just for transactions and fees (if any).

OK I don't get it....
I stumbled on this coin and it's price.  WOA!  Tongue

So you can mine it but you get no reward?
Can you make anything with this coin other than buying it?

I read a little here but it's confusing compared to other alt-coins.

So what really is this?  And the purpose of installing a wallet?

Thanks,
Bob

Hey, Bob. Correct: you can 'mine' it but there's no reward.

Say what?

Well, the Bottom Line Controversy in cryptos -- this is my opinion, by the way -- is POW versus POS. 42-coin is a veeeery interesting experiment in getting the best of both worlds.

'Can you make anything with this coin other than buying it?' Heck yeh. You can trade it. We will delight in helping you learn how.

[Second draft] Check Bob's post history: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1358760;sa=showPosts   Got skills.

So, why run a wallet? The same as any other crypto: to store your holdings, and to run the network (which is what us old-school crypto geeks do . . . ).

LIVECOIN:  "The amount of payment should not be less than 0.01 FORTYTWO"  So you can't withdraw less than 0.01 42... Shocked
