just remembered the 42-coin from old days, checked my hdd and found an old wallet file. I wanted to check it and set up the wallet, but the windows wallet file on

https://github.com/42-coin/42/releases

does not look very promising in terms of security:

Any idea where I can get a clean windows wallet?

This is a fake detection, I think due to the latest QT version. There is a version with the older QT, you can find it in Dropbox.

But for the old 42 wallet.dat files (before Nov-2016) you should use this wallet: https://github.com/42-coin/42OLD/releases/download/0.7.5/42-qt-0.7.5-win.zip

Thanks!

I tried it with v. 0.7.5. since my wallet is from 2014. Got 4 connections with the nodes shown on cryptopia, but it does not download a single block since 10 minutes now...

The OLD chain is not supported anymore. There were a swap which is ended: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1502028.msg17027381#msg17027381. Since you are the early 42 supporter, send me your wallet.dat file for inspection, if everything is ok, I will change your coins to new ones.

From PM (with permission):

Sorry but I am novice at these coin questions. New coin holder of the first multi million dollar coin maybe  Shocked ...I really think this 42 coin is going to go ape sh!t here. I have been studying stock charts for the past 4 years and this chart looks primed to me for a mega run, "To infinity and beyond".

Yes, it is from Star Wars. No hiding meaning. We have it on website with the inverse color.
