Question: Round 2. Should we increase the minimum recommended tx fee in order to motivate PoW-miners (this will also increase the deflation rate)?
1) change to 0.00001000
2) leave the  0.00000001

Have managed to bully the price on the 42-ETH pair on Livecoin from 100-60 down to 80-51.

And although we shall pick up six trading-pairs when Nova re-opens, it looks as though we're going to lose the Cryptopia 42-DOGE and 42-LTC pairs.

Have managed to bully the price on the 42-ETH pair on Livecoin from 100-60 down to 80-51.

IMZ, thank you. You are right. We need more support on the exchanges:

Night of St. Bartholomew tonight  for bitcoin and generally crypto-coins... I managed to buy back my bitcoins at 6,800 when I sold them for 7,300...I hope I will not regret it and price will rise again!

Morning, Laser. Me still patiently checking 42 out; but one of the first things I noticed is its kick-arse suite of exchanges. Rare musn't IMHO mean low volume. So, we wait for the present volatility to clarify, then patiently push up volume everywhere we can.

Wheee! Still gleefully doing micro-bid battle with the ETH-42 pair on Livecoin. It has weird bots, which can't make up their minds about the buy-sell spread. But I've had a coupla tiny buy-bids filled, and put two or three ETH on tomorrow, and go a bit harder at it.

Livecoin ETH-42. Buy-sell: 89-69. 'Mid-point': 85 (Just divide the average of the buy-sell on Cryptopia -- a bit over 8 -- by the price of Eth (.1).

Nova still on hold.

P2p, anyone? My outfit loves p2p.

EDIT: ETH-42 @ 80-70 on Livecoin. 'Mid-point': 80

42 must go up to 150 bitcoins per coin so it will be close to the 200th position of the market cap. At the moment it's at the 635th position with a value  about 7 bitcoins.. Very underrated..42 must be included at least in the best 200 crypto-coins soon!

Still keeping an eye on Nova. And trying another pair -- BTC-42 -- on Livecoin.

What do you think about localbitcoincash.org?

In case of listing there, users will be able to exchange 42 for other cryptocurrencies and buy/sell 42 with local fiat currencies.
They are ready to add us for 2 BCH only. If you are interested, send desirable amount of BCH to this address: 183WBGyZbNGaZ7ywud2SnNH1r3KaL7DiYa.
Thank You.

I will risk making an idiot of myself. Someone PM-ed me, wondering if Laser's account had been hacked, as the localbitcoincash thing seemed a bit sudden.

Has anyone analysed this site? Got experience with it?

Are you there, Laser?

If I have erred here, mea culpa.

Yes, the site is still very new (launched on Oct-2017), but it seems legit for me:

Their other projects:
http://mobtwo.com/
https://crowdtwo.com/

Exchanges with similar features requested much more for listing.
Maybe someone has a better idea on how to spend these funds for the purpose of 42?

My outfit, IndiaMikeZulu, sees decentralised exchanges as the future of cryptos. Full stop.

I've never been keen on paying for exchange listings, but okay.

What a fine thing it would be to see a crypto like 42 stick to a libertarian model -- it's always about the values of the community -- and make ourselves a powerhouse of dexchange trading/p2p.

EDIT: We trialled BISQ (Bitsquare), and truly loathed it. And on the list at present are Flyp, Cryptowolf, and altcoin.io

IMZ, thank you for the exhaustive answer. Already contacted with Bitsquare team, we need to implement the gettxout API call and they will intergrate our coin.

I will put in an appearance, but perhaps more so look after the shop here.

And:

Got an idea to kick around: talked to our accountant today. It's increasingly clear that newcomers make almost no distinction between old-school POWs and the most Wall-Street-ish permissioned-ledger blah blah token. THUS: we gotta start actually advertising ourselves _as_ immutable (fixed number of units, no rollbacks) instruments: currency, store-of-value.

Simple . . .

I found today a wallet of 42 coin with 0.0036 42s inside, which I mined back in the days and I have totally forgotten in the meanwhile. I just learned about this new chain and swap. Is it too late?
