Hi there,

Yesterday (around 16 hours ago) I transferred some BTC from the Bitcoin app to my MtGox account. The transaction showed up as "0/unconfirmed". I minimized the app and thought all was well. Some minutes later I tried quitting the app, but it crashed.

Now, I just opened the app and I see the transaction is still listed as "0/unconfirmed". I also haven't received the BTC in my MtGox account. Shouldn't the transaction be confirmed already? Did the crash screw up the transaction somehow? Have I lost my BTC? Cry

Thanks in advance for your help. Smiley
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

did you pay no tx fee? if not, it may take a few days, depending on many variables.

I didn't pay any fee. Can transactions really take several days? I've done some transactions before and they were all confirmed pretty fast (all within 90 minutes).

The transaction is also not listed on http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/.

the pools can potentially choose what size of tx they accept in a block, as far as I'm aware.

this means that if a pool that solves the block doesnt want to accept transactions with out tx, it may take a while.

thats the whole purpose behind tx.

It's alright man. I'm having a similar issue, 2 hours ago I sent MtGox a couple coins and they haven't showed up in my account. The best you can do is be patient I'd guess. Did you get the money as of now though?
