Not my auction but i agree with luptin.  If there was a sudden drop in btc right after the auction ends then everyone gets a deal.....cant have it both ways, make sure you are preparred to make payment if you plan on bidding.

I've paid on auctions that I didn't want to actually win because I jokingly bid on it.

It is OK and valid. This is clearly not a case of intentional price manipulation or something like that. He simply made a stupid bid which didn't make a lot of sense and is now bidding like everyone else. Newbies need a second chance but there will be no third, of course.

My recommendation for now is that we move on from that particular subject and continue the auction.
