Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency?

I think it will happen someday. When all people not using bitcoin anymore and i'm sure another crypocurrency will rise and be the next bitcoin with a good price like bitcoin.

It was a possibility, but I do not think it will happen in the near future. Moreover, no one can match the bitcoin, and all of it just altcoin. Because there will be no bitcoin version 2. And we know nothing altcoin that cost equaled the bitcoin. IMO

Good thing it is almost perfectly created. Not easy to hack and got a very good defense. It is the online wallets that are having problems. It is not easy to match it like you say, specially when trust was already created.

If people will not use bitcoin anymore, same goes for the altcoin. I see no reason for other cryptos to replace the status of bitcoin today even for the next decades.

Altcoins is really meant just for short term profits, that is the only sole purpose of devs out there why they are launching new coins.

i hope you are not pointing to an altcoin like ETC/ETH coins but it really depends on our human kind that what we like is what we get later if we support small then it can grow up to become big

If people will not use bitcoin anymore, same goes for the altcoin. I see no reason for other cryptos to replace the status of bitcoin today even for the next decades.

Last time i checked those stores were the most conected to developers and lawyers companies, but sure the fact they accept bitcoin is already a good step to reach mainstream. Bitcoin cant be replaced almost all coins were made based into bitcoin, and the altcoins just play the pump and dump all days, bitcoin is quite hard to make such, even it being very volatil.

It is difficult to predict if any cryptocurrncy can replace bitcoin but there are some crypto coins that can challenge bitcoin dominance.Although it will take a lots of time or unless something bad happens to bitcoin,it is not likely to happen in near future

Yeah, me either I don't think another crypto currency is going to be on top. Bitcoin is going to be the mother of all bitcoins and no one is going to make replacement of bitcoins position today. Maybe if the developers of Bitcoin is going to make another crypto and they are the one who are going to advertise it, maybe that is possible at all.

Agreed with you that only bad things happen in bitcoin will be replaced by other crypto currency, and also its very hard to predict in crypto world there is no one who will know what will happen in the digital currency we have right now.

bitcoin will never be replaced. it is the first and biggest cryptocurrency that came to exist and it is the pioneer of this technology which everybody else is just copying from to create their own alternative coin (altcoin).

Yes, it could happen but not so soon.  We knew that bitcoin is the first and most popular among cryptocurrencies as of today.  And maybe when there is some new emerging cyptocurrency with a promising and strong entrance.  Maybe some investors would want to try new things and crytpto but that would take a long time.

Just a few years back, I thought bitcoin was just a scam. And now I am using bitcoins. Maybe we are thinking no altcoins can take over what have bitcoin has achieved now. Maybe we have not seen the potential yet. But it is very possible that some alt coins can match or even over take bitcoin on the top.

It could happen, but at the moment Bitcoin is too popular for that to happen. Besides, there's no cryptocurrency better than bitcoin right now.

Anything could happen, but I do not think it will happen soon, bitcoin is at its peak and it is more popular than any atcoins due to volume and its supporters. I am also a bitcoin enthusiast so my trust and confidence of bitcoin is very high as it could become the global currency in the future.

I hope it will not happen soon or will not happen because I have my investment with bitcoin. But if that will happen I have no choice but to accept the reality. So maybe this time I should also be investing with altcoins since there are altcoins that has a good potential now to replace bitcoin like ETH.
