Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
This is possible if any altcoin has the potential and attracts the trader as well as the investor who cares and invests in it. I believe that bitcoin can not last forever and it will be beaten by a better altcoin. I agree with you, bitcoin will not always be liked by investors. bitcoin will disappear slowly as the number of bitcoin worldwide decreases. I think the bitcoin will run out but it takes a long time. after the bitcoin is lost then the best altcoin will hold the crypto currency.

I have heard that some kind of cryptocurrency (don’t remember the name) was going to beat Bitcoin. But such stories like the legends. In the real world it is hard to imagine any currency that will replace Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the one of best currency that everyone want to join for earning and investment because its price going to more increase and that is very beneficial because bitcoin can make easy life for those who have very low income and they cannot manage their budget, so bitoin will replace other cirrency because everyone like this forum for their future and they depend on just bitcoin non other.

The simplest meaning of the term "obsolete" is "outdated". If there would be a new crypto that can replace the first crypto, then it's quite possible. Altcoins exist because of the concept of bitcoin, but they're not rivaling against it, just being an alternate to bitcoin. I guess when the time comes that a crypto aside from bitcoin is favored by the majority of the cryptocurrency community, then that's the safest time that we can say that bitcoin is being obsolete.

this is very easy to understand. Bitcoin may not be suitable to replace any and every fiat coin in today's world like now and make unique universal coins, so other coins might replace it, or Bitcoin will develop in such a way that it will not exist anymore.

Nothing is impossible, but how could some alt coins replace such a popular, most valued coin and known as the mother of cryptocurrencies. It will be hard for them replace it and change the whole system of cryptoworld.
That’s true. Bitcoin is the oldest crypto currency and the most expensive as well. There is no other currency which is able to overcome or overthrow bitcoin from throne. Bitcoin is ruling the crypto market for years and all other currencies are totally dependent on it for their pumps and dumps. Many altcoins are trying hard to at least reach the nearest position to bitcoin but not possible for them at all because the demand of bitcoin is damn high.

in the term of market value? i doubt it. though bitcoin can be replace i terms of transferring as bitcoin is really ono slow transfer and can accommodate 4 transfer in every seconds, this ain't a good ration especially now that bitcoin is really spreading all over the world.

Sad to say but it is possible. If bitcoin will not solve it's problem traders, people, merchants will just jump to another alt coin that has faster confirmation and lesser fees. But it will be solved soon, there's no need to get into another crypto.

Even if bitcoin is not the market cap top, it will be the king for quite a while imo. It's the coin which gives trust to the whole system. No bitcoin, no trust. No matter what. It's also much more spreaded than any other coin, better liquidity and well known.

In my opinion, the fate of other coins just rely on the price of bitcoin in the market, if for some reason bitcoin will go down. I think all of the altcoins will follow.

Most of the altcoins are depending to bitcoin market so it will have a domino effect and most of them will be affected too and you're right with it.

Actually I think it can be, but not in next 2 years. Because bitcoin still has a big profit potencial. This is just a business.

I do not know in future but it may happen I am not sure. At present in cryptocurrency world, btc is the leader for all coins. Yes there are many cryptocurrencies there, but no one can touch the Bitcoin price. And the usage of Bitcoin is very easy. All gamblers are like to use this Bitcoin for betting. So I think now no other currency will replace Bitcoin.

Yes, this makes sense. Bitcoin is probably not suitable for replacing every and each fiat coin in the world right now as it is and make an unique, universal coin... So another coin will probably replace it, or Bitcoin will evolve so much that it will make no more sense to call it Bitcoin. Only future will tell.
Maybe there will be a time in the future that bitcoin will be replaced by any of the cryptocurrencies that we have such as etherium, litecoin, dogecoin and others. It will take time since the time that we have today, where bitcoin is getting its success such as a dramatically change of its price and any other events that helps us to become rich using bitcoin.

no the bitcoin cannot be replaced by any other currency because bitcoin was the first introduced crypto currency in the world
Exactly, it is a digital currency like other crypto currencies and it can be replaceable. But there is more advantage of holding bitcoin as compared to other currencies because, in many countries, most of the people are doing bitcoin’s mining and trading and this is why bitcoin has the more buyers if you hold it for long time period it will definitely give you more profit because bitcoin’s price are increasing very rapidly.

I dont think in the coming years, bitcoin is going to be replaced by another cryptocurrency. Although it can get competition from Ethereum, the second most preffered crypto at the moment, but with a market capital of 242 billion USD dollars Bitcoin is too big in the economy to be replaced. Also in the past year, Bitcoin has seen a doubling in its investors which is a clear indication of its strength and sovereignty in the market. There are astounding opportunities in the coming future for this crypto.

Well, it is possible in the future and only if bitcoin is no longer to be found in the cryptoworld. And even bitcoin is not around anymore, it took that alternate coin several years to replace bitcoin fully.
