Ok I have around 5k now, I would like to buy one SC, a mini SC or at least 4 jalapenos.

Paying $5000 for BFL SC
Paying $2500 for BFL Mini SC
Paying $700 per Jalapeno

This can be in paypal or Bitcoin or in person (in vermont and NYC area at times.)

If it's bitcoin, an escrow is required.

This is only for Batch 1 orders (aka June 2012 early July 2012) later orders are ok but prices will be lower. thanks

I'll buy a first batch mini SC (aka this http://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage/30gh-bitcoin-miner.html) for 1500 USD. The way I'd probably like to do it is that I'll pay 1500 USD paypal right away and you overnight ship me the unit when you get it. If you must do BTC, an escrow will be needed, but the same will take place

Try over $4000 and some people who really have them may be interested.

I would love to think they are that valuable!   Just from a mining standpoint I have a number in my head.

So figure difficulty when BFL delivers (the trolls will come out of the woodwork for that part!)...

Guessing 2x what it is now.
Two weeks of this: $1,000 = $2000
Two weeks of this: $800 = $1600
Two weeks of this: $600 = $1200
Two weeks of this: $400 - $800

Guess at 2 months revenue: $5600

These numbers for a regular single, a mini is half.

this is for a mini one. I guess I can do as much as 2200, but have nothing after that

I don't think the mini single was available at the start.  If so, you won't find an early order.

And offering 2x or 3x retail is not much compared to the 10x increase in BTC price.

If you are offering the same BTC that the devices cost originally, I would sell you my orders.

people are getting super cocky (not necessarily referring to you) for all you know bitcoins can be $2 tomorrow. well even worse who has any idea what they will be worth by the time they actually get released AND noone honestly even knows how much BTC it will actually be able to obtain.. people who want many times over retail are plain greedy and think too highly of the worth of their preorders (assuming BFL delivers to begin with there's a good chance they will mine themselves for a couple months and then sell them off)

ok

This isn't for one jalapeno. it's for a few to make it worthwhile. and for the last time, you could have bought BFL miners in usd since they came out, so don't get mad at me because you bought it in BTC and not USD

Good luck finding someone willing to sell his/her preorder for less than they paid for it. (In Btc, we breath Btc, eat Btc etc so F fiat)

Probably better to close this thread since you are so focussed on USD!

It wasn't available at the start, but BFL allowed people to convert their Jalapeno orders to mini SC orders (trade two Jalapenos for 1 mini SC + pay the difference in price). I did the conversion, but would not part with my mini SC for the price OP is asking.

It just annoys me, this whole marketplace is all about the btc to USD ratio, all Im saying is that I would have just bought a miner in USD at the time if I knew btc was gonna go up. regardless I will pay in btc, but it fluctuates so wildly I'm putting it in USD for now

I have an early July Single SC that I will trade for $5000 paypal. I am a reputable trader and have sold FPGAs in the past. Yochdog will vouch for me. I cannot make any warrantee about BFL batch cut offs because they aren't forthcoming with this info, and I will not test the unit, just remail it. Any defects with the unit will need to use the BFL RMA process.

Edit: well, I'm sorry to get any hopes up, but after coming home and discussing with my wife, she's convinced me that this isn't a good idea. So, I'm going to have to take it back.

5000$ is about 106 BTC, that is not to bad.
It still isn`t what people paid for them back in June/July, most paid 150 BTC for the Single SC.

I am getting more and more intrested in your offer, you can buy one of my SC preorders, just let me know  Wink

A fascinating thing to say.  Let's say, for example, you had 400 BTC on June 23rd.  And to simplify, we'll say the BTC price was $5 then.

An SC Single would have cost you $1,300 or 260 BTC.  You could have bought one for 260 BTC, or you could have sold 260 BTC for USD and bought one for $1,300.  What's the difference between the two?  Nothing!

To look at it another way, those who spent $1,300 on an SC Single could have instead purchased 260 BTC, and they'd be sitting on $12k right now.  So it doesn't really matter whether you spent BTC or USD, it just matters that BTC would have been a better investment.  Hindsight is 20/20, of course.
