There was some strange theories about question, but looks like nobody did not try to answer just directly to that question.
What can consolidate Texas and post Soviet ? Well, my guess - distrust to the government.

This is probably a very logical thread between the two. I'm sure there are a lot of Alex Jones types in Ukraine and Russia (replace with Russian-sounding name).
