Everytime I try to check MtGox it appears to be down or smthn? Anyone knows details?

could be a rival exchange, or someone lost a lot of money when it hit $30 and they're pissed.  or something else entirely

What's the point of DDoS'ing mtgox?
Could be rival motives, could be political motives. FUD-attacks to not let people gain too much trust in bitcoin.

Actually I honestly think a site such as MtGox needs to be moved to a bunker in the Ukraine or somewhere..similar to Pirate Bay..
