I'm an American in NY with a UK debit card. UK bank info is updated to my NY address. Coinbase UK doesn't care. What's my easiest way to get BTC?

You can try LocalBitcoins.com and attempt to pay with a bank deposit. Most sellers will allow you to make a deposit into their account and you can pick up the coins once the deposit has been confirmed. Just make sure any dodgy seller doesn't try to trick you by giving you purposely unidentifiable account details and that you keep the receipt as proof of your deposit.

You can also meet up with a seller and pay in cash.

Alternatively, contact me via PM and I should be able to get you BTC with an alternative payment method.

You can use your coinbase account. Just make sure you are verified.
