To the Stratosphere we go and beyond!  Stratosphere is the 2nd layer of the Earth's atmosphere which is 10km-50km.  I'll wait until Stratis hit's above the Stratosphere layer in Satoshis before consider selling.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I wonder if it would be possible to have some kind of 2fa on the stratis wallet itself ?
Yes the team confirmed on slack that it will be implemented in the future.

But in other new Stratis at 117 BTC 24 hour volume on Bittrex.

Was looking over my order history, and made me think fondly back on the days of buying for 4500-5500 satoshi.... seems those days are gone. Oh well, glad to see my investment going up in value  Grin Grin
Indeed. Stratis is poised to become one of the best top performers of 2016. Hopefully, we'll be saying the same thing a couple of months from now, reminiscing about the days when 6,500 Satoshi could buy you a whole STRAT.

I didn't invest in ICONOMI, but seeing the price plummet back to ICO levels serves us as a reminder of how hard it is to pick winners in the crypto currency world.

From what I've observed, the blueprint for a successful currency involves a) viable/innovative technological solutions, b) just the right amount of funding (≈BTC1,000/BTC1,500), and c) slightly suppressed marketcap under $5,000,000 (preferably ≈ $1,000,000).

With that being said, I don't think any of the ICOs still in progress meet all of the above criteria. I've been following Komodo and Incent, but neither project makes a particularly strong case.

Most of all altcoins are bleeding this days (due to btc/usd value rising). Stratis is one of those, which is stable and rising value as well! Great project!

Apparently Stratis is currently in the advanced stages of the approval process for inclusion in the Microsoft Blockchain Partnership programme.

This makes me nervous, personally. I'd much rather they announce it after the deal is completed. Announcing the possibility of a deal here introduces a significant deal of downside risk, should said partnership fail to come to fruition.

Oh, what I'm worried about isn't Chris letting us down. My main concern is Microsoft letting Chris down!

Why you have such concern? I can't understand lol, Microsoft can be one of Stratis client.

Maybe I'm being overly pessimistic, but I Microsoft comes from a position of power and authority. Absolute power breeds arrogance and fickleness. One day the project is in the advanced stages of the partnership program, the next they pull a fast one on you. Before you realize it you find yourself having to (figuratively) stand in front of a crowd of angry investors and justify your decisions.

i have been in the STRATIS Slack chat, Chris was there to answer question s and concerns over Azure, he fully understands that peole will have concerns.

Please join Slack chat and read the latest posts in General.

Here are some quotes.

vintagebazaar [6:27 PM]
"For the Azure platform, the additions are the latest that find Microsoft working toward the creation of a "certified blockchain marketplace", that could soon see previously announced partners pass more stringent vetting."

chris_stratis [6:27 PM]
Indeed @vintagebazaar

[6:28]
It has become much more difficult to join the program

chris_stratis [6:22 PM]
So we are not saying we are closing down our own baas operation and utilising azure

[6:23]
We are simply offering corporations and developers additional flexibility due to the fact they can test on azure also

[6:23]
I cover this in the first Q&A I believe, my stance on the centralisation of blockchain nodes on azure

chris_stratis [6:27 PM]
FYI our full node framework license  will be MIT

chris_stratis [6:31 PM]
But let me make this clear! I shared and on some level still share your concerns, open source development and the whole ethos behind Bitcoin is important to me and everything to Nicolas, so as a project we will always stay true to our views

chris_stratis [6:31 PM]
If you ever feel we are going against those views then call it out

So i agree, i have concerns about Microsoft, but that was on past Azure additions, seems microsoft as much tougher who they add and will be weeding out bad coins/projects and in a short time, being on the Azure platform will be a high level of industry standard.

If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly

It looks like vtorrent has in-wallet 2FA with Google Auth in their actual wallet, so it should be possible.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=889481.0
https://github.com/vtorrent/vTorrent-Client/releases/tag/0.8.1

I'll look into it but I'd rather have an "official" local wallet.

My balance on Bittrex is fine because I enabled 2FA with strong password. My Stratis on trex will be crazy this week  Grin

I just don't feel secure "storing" my funds on exchanges, even with 2fa.
See I had 2fa on bitfinex, but we all know that if the exhange itself gets hacked... 2fa is useless.

I wonder if it would be possible to have some kind of 2fa on the stratis wallet itself ?
Yes the team confirmed on slack that it will be implemented in the future.

Awesome ! I hope it uses google auth !
