Stratis is filling to the demands of the blockchain industries. ICO platform that doesn't have to put up with ponzi investments where a few get rich and dump on the market. Along with Stratis Identity your ID is secure and encrypted and it will not be sold to companies or shared with 3rd parties. KYC and sending money to someone you don't know what they do with your details.
Stratis is filling in the blanks that crypto, tech fans and coders need. Companies can securely use the platform because it has Bitcoin security, though due to Proof of Stake is energyfriendly.

Why STRAT pumped so hard for last few days? Almost 2x in just 2 days only. IS there are some good news?
I asked about real business, but didnt get answer. Someone from real companies working with Stratis or not? This using anywhere?

I can't speak for why Stratis has been performing well on the markets. Could be any number of reasons: could be speculation that Stratis would follow Waves' recent market action (for some reason people group Stratis and Waves together and draw parallels between price action of the two), could be that the speculative cycle has been completed after the capitulation candle on Binance just over two weeks ago, could be that the recent delivery of 6 of the roadmap items (plus another 2 named for Dec 27th) has given investors confidence, could be simple FOMO, could also be some contribution via value introduction from recent use of the ICO Platform (would have to check volumes to see if there's any credence to this, but I haven't done so yet) and so the list goes on. As for the real business question, the short answer is yes: Gluon, for example - a real company with turnover and a working product which will be building off the Stratis Platform. Plus a number of startups, notably the recent announcement of MediConnect, who will be paying Stratis for consultancy + BaaS. If you want, you can also count the 10+ projects building off the C# Full Node, but since they don't play directly into the revenue generation for Stratis Group Ltd itself, I'm not really inclined to include them. However, we can extend our answer for greater clarity: one thing that we can say for sure is that usage of the platform is not the reason for the recent price action. That is, I am confident in saying that the mechanisms of value introduction to STRAT from usage of the services of the Stratis Platform have not been the sole cause of the recent positive price movement. The reason I can be confident in saying this is that the Stratis Platform is only just on the cusp of being brought out in a production ready state. I think this is a point that needs to be repeated at the moment: The Stratis Platform is only just coming out now. Business adoption hasn't been huge, because what would have they been adopting? By the end of this year, the Stratis Platform will be ready for adoption. The next challenge is achieving it. I've been fortunate to spend a little time in the Stratis offices with various members of both management and the dev team and I find them to be competent and passionate. If they can deliver adoption with the same efficacy they delivered the tech, then I think we will see significant use of the platform from enterprises (and individuals), beyond the three or four businesses currently lined up and waiting for the services to be production ready. |

I agree that situation with Strat looks like very promising. But I'm not sure that it can continue very long. I think there is local bound for current price growing. |

Stratis was never in such position before let the price aspect apart little. Just look at the development and what has been delivered and then think at the possibilities. Market will follow the development and all this small changes in its prices are fraction of the value it deserves. Next year for cryptocurrencies and them mainstream adoption in real sense is going to bring.

Is it already possible to do cold staking on a raspberry pi. Are there instructions where to retrieve and how to compile the wallet? I can only find tutorials for the 'old' stratis wallet.
cold staking is yet to be activated...when 95% of stakers move to the new wallet cold staking will be activated and then you will be able to cold stake using a raspberry...you can stake on raspberry now, its just that your wallet needs to be open till cold staking gets activated. I know I can stake on a raspberry now. I've been doing that for the last year. I only wondered if I have to use a new wallet once cold staking is activated or if it is also possible with the Stratis wallet. Is the wallet you're using on the Pi the Stratis QT-Wallet? Yes For now you are fine to continue using the qt-wallet. However, at some point the qt client will be phased out by the Stratis. It is not known whether this will be before cold staking is activated or after, simply because it's not possible to know when cold staking will be activated (since it is up to the users to show support for activation of cold staking by staking through Stratis Core - by staking through the qt-wallet, you are implicitly showing support AGAINST cold staking, which is a decision every user has the right to make individually). If I had to give some advice, I'd suggest that you prefer to stake on the Pi, stick with the qt-wallet for now, because the Stratis Core wallet needs to optimised for Pi. Once the Stratis Core wallet has been optimised for the Pi, it's probably best to switch to Core on the Pi (there will be clear guides to follow once it comes to it, and support for people making the switch). It's best to switch for a few different reasons, and not just for the activation of cold staking. There are security improvements for both the wallet and for the overall network, extra functionality etc. Hope this helps answer your question Yes, this answered my question. Thanks a lot. |

Oh wow I had asked this several times in the past in this thread without a reply about whether the smart contract platform would be Turing Complete. This answers the question. This is a seriously good development - very promising. So Stratis can be a full-fledged DApp platform with much better scalability than say ETH (right now) so you can run things like CryptoKitties/other games as a sidechain and have your own logic etc. |

Browse the some previous pages of this thread a lot of people were predicting it is almost ready for its next rally. So it is happening who was following this thread and picked under $1 are lucky people and sooner they will get more secure position. |

Again, just look at the facts, nobody cares about stratis, nobody is talking about them and you have some randoms starting an ico which stratis stated "big news" before announcing. Big news is a fortune 500 partnership. Not a hot dog stand partnership(or rather a fishing boat, earth twine anyone? 😂) These guys are playing you with their "big annoumcements". Make a buck and run as fast as you can from this garbo  . |

Not really, made a decent buck. Its easy to spot strat pump and dumps with their hype. Once people realize nobody is using Strat(which will be soon enough) youll see the price get obliterated. Umm, next hype release is smart contracts, one more pump and expect new lows . Unless btc drops again, then stratis will insta gutter. |
