Quote
“I just drew two or three concentric circles and some lines,” said the student, arguing she was “just doodling” in defense of her artwork. “The teacher walked up behind me and freaked out. He grabbed my paper and showed it to everyone in the class yelling for them to get down under their desks. I was so scared. I might never draw again.”

I'm pretty sure this is just for jokes Grin

The article is satire, and thus the story is fiction. This is stated at the bottom of the article, as well as in the title. (Satire).

Thing is, if it weren't for allowing the general populace to have guns, there wouldn't be a United States of America.

LOL This is a joke, seems to be a bit like Onion News Network actually Cheesy

The sad part is though a lot of teachers I have seen are that self-important, pompous, arrogant and patronising that they would actually pull this kind of crap, in fact I've seen news articles somewhere where they do, I should probably go find them so we can all point and laugh.

I would add that a ban on guns in the USA would be the end of the USA as we know it. Here the government serves at the pleasure of an armed populace. Without guns in our hands, all other rights are subject to the whims of whoever is in power. We like the government to walk on egg shells and fear us.

Here the government serves at the pleasure of an armed populace.

At this point, that's mostly an illusion. I have my doubts about even a full-on armed revolt's success at this point, and anything less is doomed to failure and being labeled as a terrorist group.

The point of the 2nd amendment was to make sure the populace had equivalent armament, and that hasn't been true for some time now.

Violent revolution has never resulted in lasting liberty anyway.

I'm disturbed anyone would need to have it pointed out to them that this is satire

Yeah, agreed. The only way an armed revolution would work in America is if things got really bad, like "Bashar Assad" bad. That's how it's supposed to be. We don't want a revolt every election cycle, but no one could march us into the ovens Euro-style.

If you'll recall, the very first thing the Germans did was take the guns... then they started coming for the Jews and Rom.
