Hi all,

I got into bitcoins a couple of years ago and then lost interest when the summer came and my mining rig was making my room too hot to live in comfortably seeing as the value at the time had dropped fairly low... I've never actually sold any bitcoins in the past but I did buy a few on Bitmarket.eu which at the time seemed to be a fairly popular and reliable website... The site seems to have closed since then and from what I've read on the forum in the last few days, it looks like they might have scammed quite a few people... I've been doing a little research and bitcoin.de looks like it might be one of the best places to buy and sell bitcoins but I was hoping that I could get a little feedback/advice from forum members.. Where do you guys buy/sell for euros? Which sites have the best reputations or have been operating without any problems for the longest?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks and best wishes to all !

Take a look at https://localbitcoins.com/

There are buyers on there paying cash or via bank transfer. I've only ever bought from here myself but never had an issue. Just look for a buyer with a decent feedback and you should be fine

There doesn't seem to be anybody in my area on https://localbitcoins.com/ but https://bitcoin-24.com/ looks like it could be worth a go...
Have you used https://bitcoin-24.com/ yourself hamdi? What sort of bank fees do you have to pay for a SEPA withdrawal? Which country do they send the money from?

Thanks for your answers.

Where do you guys buy/sell for euros?

There are a few purchase and withdrawal methods

BITSTAMP, Bitcoin-24.com, and Mt. Gox.

Yes, Mt.Gox is popular and maybe that is why there's such a long waiting list Wink

I' heard about Mt.Gox and knew they were pretty much the reference for people in America but I didn't know that Europeans could use the site too... What do you mean by waiting list? Does it take a long time to buy/sell bitcoins when you place an order  or fix a price for your bitcoins?
Bitcoin-24 and Bitstamp have been suggested several times too so I think I'll try one of the three... Thanks for the replies everyone !

If you are registered there already and verified you are OK. But if not and want to trade larger volumes, you need to verify your account. There have been thousands of people waiting for this a few days ago who could just see how the price is rising unable to buy.
