No the 1070 does 31-32 mh  Roll Eyes

http://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/7722/gtx-1070-fe-mining-benchmarks

------

Results as expected, its pretty good if it comes out to be true.  Also the 490 will be released some months later and that has a higher bandwidth memory so results could be quite good with that.

So the 480 is MORE efficient than the 1070 and costs half as much

1070 = 4.68 watts per MH

480 =  4.16 watts per MH

no that is old, check this update http://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/7780/gtx1070-linux-installation-and-mining-clue-goodbye-amd-welcome-nvidia-for-miners#latest

same guy, can do 37MH almost stable, he is tweaking it, 35MH stable at 140w

even if a 480 cost half of it, and can do 48MH with two of them you will consume more, like 50% more for a 33% increase in hashrate (48 vs 37), so it's worse

I stand corrected sir.

Looks pretty darn good but still having to mess around with linux seems like a pain for the gain but If my power cost was higher I would change my tone.  I use to live in Cali with 26 cent per kw but now im in Oregon with less than half that, so power usage is no where near as big of a deal as it once was.

I think personally Im just partial to Ati card just due to the fact I have used them for years and they have always gave me excellent service and long life.

Also just yesterday I ran some conduit and put in a 20 amp 120v circuit with a dedicated ground to be used only by my mining hardware in the shop. I considered running 220v service but the 120 seemed more convenient at this point, even with that I can run around 15 gpus or so with the setup and about 30 if I switch to 220v with the new cards coming out.

with an bios mode and undervolt i expect the 480 to do closer to 27mhs for 80 watts so it will be alot better than one 1070

well that is yet to be seen, i think he can tweak it to have less wattage used at 37MH, still i prefer the 1070 for density, i need to buy less rig, which is always saving money in the end

I have both 380 and 380x and they dont mine the same. Maybe if you OC the card. A 380x has 21.5 mhs and a 380 has 18 mhs. I have both already. the price difference is 20 dollars or less. I paid 199 for these 380x cards so thats about what 380 cards are going for. Plus as the other post stated the 380 is volt locked. I am using Trixx to (-75) undervolt and working well so far. Knocked about 120w off the 5 380 cards i have running. Not alot but over 9 or 10 rigs that will add up. I expect the 380x will be even better savings. Will find out this weekend.

18 Mh/s seems a little low. What with Memory @ 1500 MHz it should be ~21 Mh/s.
With 5x 380x i am able to achive 700W from the wall when minning ETH, quite happy with that result   Smiley

From what I see, it will do around 27 MHz when the memory frequency is about 2200MHz. It is memory dependent.

Memory @ 2200MHz? Are we still talking about 380x?

They are talking about the AMD RX480. The memory speed at 2200 MHz can get you about 27MH/s.

yeah you can go to 2215 and squeeze a little more.
It always crashes at 2225

but I got my 2 cards to 2215 and 2216  I get 54.5 mh
