It is all based on the market cap. Right now the market cap of Bitcoin is close to $100,000,000,000 and gold is $8,500,000,000,000,000... it is safe to say gold alone is far more powerful.
Gold will be the most promising investment and it will never get old. And comparing it to 8 year old coin (bitcoin) isn't fair. But if we will base everything to the progress, we had to admit that bitcoin is one of the fastest growing investment world wide. Many haven't seen this type of increase and all are thinking that this is a manipulated coin and the market cap of it is a joke. Bitcoin can not compared towards gold cause these on different level and mechanism. gold was recognized by all of the world that have existed become thing which has a value since thousands years ago. rather than bitcoin is a new currency that work as crypto since 8 years ago. we can not compare both so well. Yes they are different in terms of place, gold as physical investment to bitcoin (digital asset). We shouldn't compare this thing and as many are saying that bitcoin is the new gold or the modern digital gold which is quite considerable. And bitcoin's power nowadays is growing, the price is quickly increasing and many are getting hyped with it. I think no one can deny the power of Bitcoin. We all have seen the way its market price has increased and is continuously increasing. That time is not too far when we’ll see people sitting anywhere in the world trading in Bitcoins. bitcoin is becoming powerful from time to time and yes no one can deny the fact. in modern time the interest of the people in bitcoin is continuously increasing because they found it very easy to use bitcoin for shopping and for every other activity to use bitcoin instead of fiat currency. i will like to adopt bitcoin in my life as fiat currency. It did pumped for a while and it dumped but not too low. If I'm not mistaken 1 oz. of gold is at $1,320 and that's really high. Power of gold in the market is still tough and it will never get old. But it stays as jewelry material and investment itself, unlike bitcoin you can do a lot of things with it and that depends on what you wanted to buy or use it only as an investment / asset. |

it's not only the reason. The other reason is, Bitcoin has so many supporters so that the demand in the market is increasing. I think Bitcoin has more power nowadays than the other cryptocurrencies simply because as we all know it is the first one. People can send bitcoins to each other using mobile apps or in their computers anytime, anywhere. Like, who doesn't like that? Bitcoin is very powerful as a Crypto but comparing bitcoin with other currencies won't be a wise thing for now. Bitcoin is the oldest of the cryptos and many people are businesses using bitcoin. Other cryptos are not able to compete with Bitcoin in any sense and I am very sure that they will never be able to compete Bitcoin. Dogecoin is a good altcoin but it's nothing close to what Bitcoin has. Honestly, I think that Bitcoin is the future of currencies if it continue increasing like this but I am very sure that one day only rich people will be able to afford bitcoins and those with 10-20 Bitcoins will consider as richest. It's my own thinking but it can be real.
