Monero is illegal in most countries cause used for Drug Sales, Human Trafficking, Organ Trade, Tax Evasion and and and

But Monero isnt really used for all that today because is baby currency without GUI and only 20-30 people use it in the world

so when 100 people use it

will it be eradicated by the gov ?

or will monero community move to greeland or something to continue romantic relationship between the monero men

 Huh

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

A quick look a the block explorer: http://chainradar.com/xmr/blocks proves only a handful of people use Monero (see the tiny blocks). Since it's just a copy/paste clone of the Bytecoin cripple-mine scam that can never support lite-clients why would anyone touch it?  Huh

lol monero is too small to sustain a deep web market like that, i doubt people are actually using it for that purpose and bitcoin is already anonymous enough for those that want to stay in the dark without buying a new coin

Instead of this pointless fud and baseless accusations why do you not read the actual guidance form FinCEN and check if your favorite ICO / IPO / pre mine / emission to fund development / coin(s) meet their definition of "De-Centralized Virtual Currencies" or are in fact are "Centralized Virtual Currencies" with one or more MSBs that are not registered and are not doing AML/KYC in violation of US Law?

https://fincen.gov/statutes_regs/guidance/html/FIN-2013-G001.html

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

lets see if OP and ilk will have the same kind of words to say when Monero is nearing a $1 billion marketcap.

Thank you guys. This is exactly what came to my mind when I saw this thread's title.

Monero is such a good coin. It is literally the best you can choose. Without privacy there is no freedom!

No.  With Bitcoin everything is transparent.  OP doesn't understand that privacy means freedom.  People are people and do what people do.

I can buy Spoetnik's products with Monero, I can also buy drugs or evade taxes.  Has nothing to do with Monero itself at all.

True.  And there is no truly anonymous coin.  People are gonna have a rude awakening if they don't pay their taxes.

INTENT goes a long way !
There is a big difference comparing BTC vs XMR in that respect..

Deliberately obfuscating the identity of criminals is an offense.
Bitcoin has NOT gone out of it's way to do this like Monero has !
Your identity has to be tied to the money as per example below..

And yeah Tax Evasion is serious.. it was the only thing that could take down Al Capone.
The govt of Canada has said that you need to claim & pay taxes on Crypto Coins.
So i bet many countries are the same..

And don't forget guys..
Cryptsy was seizing peoples accounts lying to them about Network issues etc
then handing over their personal info (if you were verified) over to the US Fed's.
Why ?
Anti-Money Laundering Laws in Florida.

So uhhhh still want to hand over your picture ID to buy ANON coins on Poloniex ? LOL

My products ?
Well my biggest seller is "FUD Milk Shakes"

ShapeShift supports Monero and requires no ID. It is centralised, but you can use it behind Tor.

BitSquare, on the other hand, is a completely decentralised exchange that supports Monero and requires no ID.

In addition, there are OTC markets for Monero which require no identification.

None of these are particularly new, they have existed for Bitcoin and even for Monero for ages.

It's ok to be a moron, Spoetnik, but it's not ok to be ignorant and yet talk like you're an authority. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Hey DUMMY!
As long as there is FIAT then Monero and BTC are the same.
I can sell Monero or BTC 100% anonymously.

Do you use cash? Do you withdraw cash from your bank account? Do you provide AML/KNC information to your bank?
How is providing AML/KNC information to Poloniex to for example buy and withdraw Monero any different?

Of course tax evasion is illegal in Canada, and one has to report to the CRA one earnings due to crypto currencies. Income or Capital Gains depending on the circumstances. In this respect Monero no different from  not just from other crypto-currencies but from virtually all perfectly legal activities.

Edit 1: There is already very clear guidance on crypto - currencies in the United States which I cited above. When it comes to anti-money laundering Canada tends to a large degree to follow the United States, and I have not seen any guidance from the Canadian Government that contradicts the US position. If you are aware of any such guidance from the Government of Canada or from a Canadian Province or Territory please post the link (English or French is fine).

Edit 2: When one gets down to it. Monero is designed to work like cash, but only in digital rather than physical form.

Edit 3: Here is some official information on the Canadian Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act
http://www.fintrac-canafe.gc.ca/act-loi/1-eng.asp

It's ok to be a moron, Spoetnik, but it's not ok to be ignorant and yet talk like you're an authority. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Dude please lose some weight to unburden your brain, Spoetnik was talking about buying your shitcoin on Poloniex where 99% of the volume is at.

I've heard good things about this fluffy pony guy but I've known Spoetnik for a while and he's straight.  Tells it like it is.  I like fluffy ponies, BTW.

So uhhhh still want to hand over your picture ID to buy ANON coins on Poloniex ? LOL

Your insult holds little weight son..

For one thing you don't contribute to Crypto.
I don't recall seeing you say anything for 2 years or so..
And if you are not contributing here on the forum then your forum comments have little value to me.
Sorry.

Like what you make an Altcoin but NEVER comment in the ALTCOIN SECTION ?

--------> Further more your retort failed miserably son  Cheesy

..You said you *can* use XYZ method to buy XMR coins.

..I said you *can* use Poloniex to buy XMR coins.

What ?
You don't think i KNOW there is "other" methods to acquire them ?
Come on bro.. don't be patronizing LOL
Don't forget i am the smart one is here.. NOT YOU !
Know how you know ?
Because i comment here while you don't.. see how that works son ?

Ohhhh i am SURE you have read many of my comments here.. i just don't think you ever had the balls to step up.
Sadly the one time you do you get your ass handed to you LOL
aww now you probably won't come back again  Cry
..keep trying little guy ROFL

PS:
hey sweet-heart.. YOU posted your coin here.
Correction the other guy did .. ..... ..... Monero = Community Take-Over
Point being is YOU POSTED it here and i am a forum user.
So i made comments on coins.. see how that works son ?

Let's recap the never ending Monero pwnage ..don't worry i did not forget about you Butterin Wink

Pony boy here was trying to make it sound like i was claiming..
The ONLY way to get Monero was by buying them at Poloniex.
Which is stupid because actually never ever have said that once in all of crypto ever.
So.. he's full of shit LOL

AND.. As always i am right and you are wrong  Cool

MAN guys Monero is just gettin' fuckin' REKT here lately ahahhahah  Cheesy  Grin  Cool  Shocked

PS:
Hey Pony Guy..
Nice.. can i get a side of fries with that ?
Was i just reading a BurgerKing Billboard Ad ?

PPS:
You think i am out to "get" Monero ?
Noooope.. i would have bumped one of the classic FUD topics if that was the case.
Maybe buddy it up with Butterin & hire a hitman Wink
