Yes, that's right, ignore all the other independent countries who have no problem trading with the outside world even in today's society, again, the idea that you need a giant organisation for free trade is a fucking joke, yet you still push it even after the referendum results.

Please give me such country. I'm waiting for a name because the vast majority of countries are doing ALL THEY CAN to create free trade organisations.

There is an easy reason for that:

The bigger markets make the rules. It means every independent country making deals with china, eu, usa have to play by their rules.
That is why we have an EU, an Asean and soon an North American Union. Bigger equals more negotiating power - always!

Now tell me whos stronger in a negotiation with china and the usa: UK or EU?

I dont think you understand how world economics work.
Would be nice if we live in a fantasy world but truth is reality looks much different.

Britains, is democratic people and they dont like to take orders from unelected people in EU. That simple.

75% of your democratically elected representatives in Parliament voted to remain. 'Direct democracy' by referendum is a populist circus.

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

Well, you still have Russia that's right. Wanna compare Russia and UK? Roll Eyes
Oh and just for your culture, Russia is actively negotiating for a free trade organization with its neighboors.

The Brits elected their MPs to govern the United Kingdom. These people don't have the right to cede the British sovereignty to someone else. For example, if tomorrow, a majority of the MPs decide that they want the UK to merge with the United States, they will be unable to implement it. The same case here as well.

What United Kingdom? Scotland has one foot out the door. Moral highground makes good political capital, and Britain just gave it away.

The point is these countries are trading with places like Europe without the need for these organisations, you also have Norway and Sweden who are definitely independent of the EU and have been trading absolutely fine, all people like you're doing is scaremongering and it pisses me off.

Edit: I meant Switzerland, not Sweden.

What we're trying to explain to you but you refuse to understand is that USA plus Canada can afford to trade with Europe because they're of similar power... But if you take UK alone, how do you think it will do trying to negotiate with monsters like EU, NAFTA or ASEAN?

It will smile, accept the ridiculous demands because it needs 17 billion of pounds of import and then cry in a corner.

Sweden is a member of the EU...
You probaly are talking of norway and switzerland.

And the most important they just dont trade freely with anyone. They all are part of trade agreements. Without bi/multilateral trade agreements you trade under the law of the WTO.

There are always rules and laws you have to abide by.

They arent in the EU but in the EEA.
They pay money to the EU, are part of the Schengen treaty and had to implement pretty much all EU laws just with the "tiny" difference that they have no political decision power in the EU.

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/leave-remain-brexit-uk-google-trends-what-is-eu-european-union-referendum-what-happens-now

"What is the EU?" is the second top UK question on the EU since the #EURefResults were officially announced

Voters on the day of the referendum were uninformed and didn't take into consideration the real situation. I'm not saying it's why there was a Brexit, because nothing proves that people voting "leave" were the most googling this questions (no data can exist on such affirmation).
It just proves that Britains were not informed on the day they voted, that they didn't grasp the importance of the situation and that they made a hastly, unthought decision.

I would say those are under 18's who were doing assignments on it in school on Friday.

You guys know that kids use Google too, right?

Yes, that's right, ignore all the other independent countries who have no problem trading with the outside world even in today's society, again, the idea that you need a giant organisation for free trade is a fucking joke, yet you still push it even after the referendum results.

Please give me such country. I'm waiting for a name because the vast majority of countries are doing ALL THEY CAN to create free trade organisations.

China, Russia, America, Canada, you were saying? Also, these are not free trade organisations, that's a lie, they're called trading blocs and that's a different thing entirely.

America and Canada are part of the NAFTA so they're not on your list. CHina is in the ASEAN so not on your list neither.

Well, you still have Russia that's right. Wanna compare Russia and UK? Roll Eyes
Oh and just for your culture, Russia is actively negotiating for a free trade organization with its neighboors.

Seems like the whole world is trying to do exactly the opposite of what UK just done...

The point is these countries are trading with places like Europe without the need for these organisations, you also have Norway and Sweden who are definitely independent of the EU and have been trading absolutely fine, all people like you're doing is scaremongering and it pisses me off.

MUCH GOOD, VERY SMART!

But... But...
Independance and all... Sovereignty? Britania rules? No? Cry

Sorry, that was a major typo, yes I did mean Switzerland lol I'm just watching the news a lot right now, multitasking -_-

It is a dumb action because it weakens EU's economy and it really affect the world market thus it will affect as too.

Well if you look at the leave campaign and here at the brexit threads ( under the premise that the ppl who said  that they are UK inhabitants really are) i think moglie's post is pretty much spot on.
