That's what I understand from the excel spreadsheet as well but I don't get why is this good. Instead of having a big rush in the beginning, this creates sudden funding just before deadline.

I also question myself of what is better, buyout very fast and let a little % of tokens on market or wait last day and release a cheap token.

Yes, it been long I've been waiting for the ICO launch, It will be interesting the way the auction thing will go, but some people are of the opinion is going to lead to overvaluation of the platform.

what do you mean with overvaluation about this ?

He means that if the funds are raised to quick and the rate paid per token is sufficiently high the project's market cap will be substantially overvalued and likely crash when the token hits the exchanges.

That will not be the case, the cap is on fund. If the value of token is high ( assuming sold quickly @ 30$/token) then the token issued will be less. so market cap will remain the same ( because ico target cap is 12M) .

Take note though, if indeed the ICO is sold quickly @ $30/token by hitting the 12.5m market cap, the distribution of Token supply will be:

ICO participants: 4.17%
Held by Gnosis team: 95.83%

This makes it a market cap of $300 million. So good luck with that once it hits the exchanges.

Yeah it's a money-grab everywhere. Unicorn ideas, but no product or mvp to show for it most of the time. Gnosis might be different in terms of the mvp, but no different from other projects trying to get insane amounts of funding.

Kraken is sending out instructions on participating in the Gnosis auction. In their instructions it says to go create a Gnosis deposit address except they don't have Gnosis listed in deposits to generate an address. Does anyone know when this will be corrected?

I thought it would be complicated, but after reading the details I think it is a fair system of distributing tokens. I like it!
Also I think Gnosis will be a better product than Augur.

I was really looking forward to investing is this ICO. I think is a great idea with season developers behind it.
But I going to let this one go! The fact that the majority of the tokens will be held back is the main reason I pass, just like bitcoin!

Not only will I not be investing, I also will not make use of the platform because of the same reason. If fork (clone) pops up or another competitor maybe I will look in to it.

If this will be the way token will be distributed in the future (Dutch auction model) then it will mark the end of ICO (the killerapp on ethereum) as we know it. I think founders are getting greedy to make a whole lot of money, just as individuals who trow a lot of money at this ICO's. I great idea need backing and greedy people should be avoided. What else do they got in their sleeves. If the product is market ready why collect more money. The product/service can be manage/profitable with fees etc.

I think they should go backward to VC (venture capitalist) if the prefer a "close model". ICO should be open and also the majority of the tokens should be in the hand of the investor. Not the other way around.

Pretty cool to see the token already listed on Kraken.
I can see great improvement's in this ICOs field. I've invested a few so might be a bit biased, but I strongly believe Gnosis will go somewhere in its near future. Good luck to all devs and owners during this ICO season!
