I signed up for a Bitmain account yesterday somewhat interested in buying an antminer s7. I used a password that I might have used elsewhere before, turns out I probably did.

This morning I had an email from Amazon.com notifying me that ...

Quote
At Amazon we take your security and privacy very seriously. As part of our routine monitoring, we discovered a list of email addresses and passwords posted online. While the list was not Amazon-related, we know that many customers reuse their passwords on multiple websites. Since we believe your email addresses and passwords were on the list, we have assigned a temporary password to your Amazon.com account out of an abundance of caution.

I think Bitmain are distributing password of their customers to hackers.

... on a side note, has anyone ever bought from bitmain? would you buy an antminer s7 from them? https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020160527114935137wr0xd6U006A9

more likely you've got malware on your pc that stole it as you entered the information.

There is always the green lock in my URL if that is the ssl lock you mean. this has not happened to me before, only just after registration with bitmain.

Bitmain is pretty solid. HashNest to me is the most trusted cloud miner so go ahead and buy the S7 but the S9 is the real deal. Sold out twice so far on Bitmain.

I have purchased from the before.  I did not purchase the antminer s7, but I have made purchases from them before with no issues.  I have uised the same password for them as I do a number of the sites I am a member of and I have never had an issue with this password deal.

there's not enough evidence, just because the time doesn't mean bitmain selling these passwords, even hackers always dumping and hacking website in order to get the password and email list on the database, just see where those carders get list of paypal data from? they get it from a website which vulnerable to be hacked and get the list from it
don't sure bitmain stupid enough selling their users data as it the same as they're selling their trust which they built from an age ago
