Of course all of us use more than one wallet.
It caused by safety, fees, and bussiness.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I use more wallets and I also use multiple addresses within one wallet. It's good to be careful and not keep all eggs in one basket, let's say so. I never had big amount of coins but you never know what can happen, hackers attacks are very often, so we have to pay more attention to security.

I usually use one address for each transactions. I heard that is safer to use multiple address. It is also more clear.

it is ok to just use one address. if you have reoccurring payments to receive like your salary or signature campaign it is easier for the sender and also kind of safer, since they can not make a mistake by sending it to the wrong address. using every time a new address makes it harder to connect those bitcoin to you, so basically you get a bit more anonymity.

Really?  I am loyal to my bitcoin wallet so I only uses one. Wink  But that was a great idea to keep bitcoins.  I just do not want to be paranoid and being negative that is why I uses only one.  I believe that my bitcoin wallet is secure and there is no way they could hack my bitcoins there.  But yes, just to be safe, I might do it as well.

I have my hardware wallet which I ordered recently and it is the Ledger HW.1 and saying the truth it looks like a cheap USB but in fact it holds bitcoins and it does it job simply and good enough. I'm using it as a cold wallet so for me using more than one wallet is good because you see the potential of other wallets as well.
I also use a ledger HW.1 as my cold wallet. My friend got a limited edition one and persuaded me into buying it. I believe that it was a very good investment on my part. It was, and is, probably the cheapest hardware wallet that you can get that is still performs very well. It doesn't come with many features but it gets the job done and that's all I need it to do. So if you are looking for a budget hardware wallet, then you should take a look at the ledger HW.1.

Yes, and this is a wise thing to do. Always diversify your holding by putting them in to more than one wallet if you are holding some serious money in to bitcoin. However, if you are holding a little amount of bitcoin, it makes no sense to use many wallets, Instead use a time tasted wallet like coinbase or blockchain.

I am using more than one wallet for both of my bitcoin and altcoins holdings. Even if your one account is compromised, then you can at least recover some from your another account.

Yes ofcourse. For my vew storing in different wallets online is better. So if one of your account been stolen you will not lose all your bitcoins and still goung to have some spare to recover.

whether you're using different address for every transaction it's actually doesn't matter if your wallet just got hacked since i believe that every address that you generated belong to one address,it's indeed safe if the one that get stolen is privkey not the wallet, but if it's the wallet then no way it's safe

I agree. lot of wallet make you confuse which one is your main wallet and other is side wallet. But if you are really in a long time in bitcoin you realize that you need a lot of wallet to earn more purposes Cheesy So thats why then you can memorize or find what is your main wallet and other.

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you keep all your bitcoins in one wallet, or do you use multiple providers/accounts?

I am currently using 3 different wallets, it kinda feels safer not to store everything in once place...

Thoughts?

MC  Smiley

I have most of my BTC in a "warm" wallet where the private key is encrypted with a strong password, but is still on my computer. I rarely open it.
I have a hot wallet on Mycelium with about $15 BTC at a time for quick and small transactions.

Its kind of bad decision to keep bitcoins in a single place as most wallets get hacked...... Roll Eyes

No I use only 1 wallet because I have very less amount of bitcoin that is I have only 0.03 btc now so I m happy with 1 wallet and having too many wallet makes me confused and my mind get lost in somewhere else. But i do have many other wallets such as paytm, freecharge, oxigen because they have many offers on mobile recharge.

It depends on the wallet really. For instance there are wallets before you open the app lets you ask for a pin before accessing the wallet. And also when you log in into their pc site will send you a text message containing a code so that you know you are the only one who can access your account. For me having a multiple wallets is much dangerous to keep track with.
