I bid 16 BTC - Europe

The seller has accepted this bid but has asked that I accept any higher offer for 72 hours so I have changed the title to an auction to reflect this.

This auction will end: July 10th at 1:00 PM PST

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/los-angeles

Bid increments should be: at least 0.01BTC

No sniping, bids made at the end of the auction will extend the time by 15 minutes.

Shipping is not included and will be negotiated with the winner depending on geographic location and whatever shipping/insurance is desired.

16.03BTC - Just to get a bid in.    No sniping, so I might not go any higher.

I will stick to this bid even though it was unfortunately removed from the holder and now has what looks like scratches (probably fuzz), dust in the very least, but also (clearly) almost certainly fingerprints on the bottom left of the front of the coin.

I am in Seattle.  I don't believe I need escrow, but will happily use Blazed.

Good luck to all.

I think the pictures speak for themselves. This is a very nice coin in great condition. Let's see if he's able to successfully scare away other bidders!

You mean it didn't work, or you don't see it?
Happy to recant my statement if OP has a better picture of the two areas I am talking about.
In the mean time, you're welcome to look at the pictures again.  More specifically the bottom left of the coin.

How many of these were made?

If it is silver, what is the gold B made of?

It looks like 491 were made in total over 2 series, with 422 still active and untouched.
It's a solid silver coin with gold plating. Loaded with 10BTC obviously Grin

I usually use this site which says there are 226 silver with gold trim: http://www.spotcoins.com/bitcoin/casascius

Correct, it is gold electroplating on a silver coin.
