i believe smoothing trade and borders is a good thing. i don't believe attempting to shoehorn crazily disparate cultures and economies into one box can ever work and that's ably demonstrated by the last few years.

there's enough discontent in the us at federalization and they all share a language and culture and it's been in place for over a century.

That was actually an irony. Anyway, I don't think that a return to the past is a good choice. You say that against marxism we must have traditionalism. So you suggest we should return to a divided Europe of suspicion, some 20-30 years of the 20th century. We can return and repeat right totalitarianism as well as left, but why do we rush from side to side? I don't think there is a need for radical extremes. IMO, it's better to keep equality between right and left wing than become right or left. And why you attribute to your views global importance as if it has to be an universal necessity? Some people can like your ideas, but others have different views. There isn't view that could be an objective law.

So, do autocracies work fine? Though that was an irony too, but we can say that the experience of the 20th century clearly shows that they don't. Democracy may be an imperfective construct, but others are even worse and you won't find any perfective construct. So, I don't argue that the system is imperfect. But why we should ruin it instead of improving?

But we're talking about union and not one united state. Of course there wasn't any European Federation or something like that. But there is union of European states that expressed by common market, space, traditions etc.
My point was that many now European countries by origin are non-european. Even Europeans themselves were not Europeans in the sense of their old customs and so on. So I think, if country become European, by which I mean that it follows European principles and mentality, why it could not join the EU. The other thing is that Turkey yet has to rise above itself to join the EU. But, IMO, it can be real in future.

Democracy is a great thing - and the European Union is famous for ignoring it. They're trying to tell Britain to ignore the referendum, can you imagine? Luckily the governing party (the Conservatives) have said they accept the result and there won't be another referendum.

But you didn't verified your statement, so it is unfounded. The same holds true for the next statement: the EU tries to tell Britain to ignore the referendum. Loud statement, but I'm not going to take that on trust. Are there statements of the EU officials that can confirm "ignoring the referendum" as a position of the EU? I don't know such.

The bankers will profit. Not because of Brexit, but because Carney will support them with a cash injection to boost houses and old masters. No doubt more of our assets will be sold to cover the debts. He should spend the money on more police, coastguadrs, nurses, doctors and other things that will boost the economy, and not the foreign investors. Lets see interest rates rise to 2-3% as well to encourage saving.

To be very honest here, The only news I do read, is RT and Russia insider, apart from the few that links from this website, I haven't even bought a newspaper in over twenty years, so as for statement I know nothing about who profited, but I can bet it would be some of those I listed, even traders here on this forum have benefited.

i agree that are certain areas of the EU that need a change but i'm still the opinion that the brexit decision will only change things to the bad.

It was not a bad thing before joining, I remember it well.
Ever since though, things went downhill for millions of people at the time, I bet you do not see that in the MSM.
In comparison we as residents, were better off all round, even the budgets where nothing to be scared of, now they are.
