When he announces his company "will be investing heavily..." after spending 3-4 months talking about it means they already have and want to pump it. You do the math. No more buy pressure coming from them. Sorry I mean, he himself is also heavily invested in Bitcoin. The fact that he is going to be contributing millions of dollars worth of mining power only further backs up his investments. He is not dumb. This is all carefully planned out. |

LOL! Yep. They have spent 3-4 months pumping it, and now they want the public to get all excited about that fact..........I wonder why? Sorry I mean, he himself is also heavily invested in Bitcoin.

He is not dumb. This is all carefully planned out.
Heavily investing in Bitcoin mining? Unless he has access to some souper douper mining computer tech, which he can power by plugging the socket directly into the sun......now seems like a terrible time to be getting involved in BTC mining. Miners are dropping out the game like flies, some big ones as well, such as KnC. Post the Halving, the min cost of production for even the Chinese miners with their dirt cheap energy, is going to be around $480. There is absolutely no guarantee that Bitcoin can maintain this sort of price level over the longer term...sure, there may well be less coins coming to market after the Halving date...but what about the warehouses full of coins that the miners have been withholding from the market, whilst they wait on better prices to dump at? |

Pumps and dumps are very bad for the bitcoin market because they scare off potential investors. Experienced traders love pumps & dumps as these allow them to make the maximum amount of profit in quite a short time. |

it seems like a pretty crazy time to go all in on a mining operation. we really don't know what the halving thing's gonna do to the mining landscape and whatever happens, china will remain ahead. i guess they must know more than i do.

I doubt it ws him. It seems more that some whales decided to pump up the price before the halving. Then they realized the chinese economy could give a real boost to the price, so they maintained pumping hope for the people of china to step in. However having famous people into bitcoin is always good PR. People think, If McAfee trust it, so should I, apart from his crap antivirus. |
