The reason I did this is because I feel that people will eventually make more coins by knowing the exact spot price

That's why believe that donations for doing this rather than charging people would be the proper way to make this succeed

My suggestion: Make an advertising-supported version with maybe just a ZigGap affiliate code, or get with the guys from btcQuick about a referral fee for click-thrus.

it might be a noob question, but I wonder how it get's the actual USD price (mtgox?)? Is it the last trade price? Also, how often does it get updated?

To sign up for the android marketplace it cost me $25.  So I made the target one bitcoin so I am sure i am covered.

I always wanted an app that would report to me the price in my local currency. Could you add such a feature if there was no hassle.

I would think to generalize that you don't add currencies and stuff. Just add two text fields and a combo box in the options under an option called "Custom currency". First box would be currency symbol (for me it is SAR), The second would be conversion rate "for me I would set it to 3.75" and the combo box label is "Relative to currency" and I would choose "USD $".

That would really come in handy.

The app is just .00001% of it...  which by the way is helpful for some people.

Believe it or not those RSS feeds get used nearly a million times a month .  I just switched to feedburner a few minutes ago because the hit rate was so high it was slowing down the servers.

The RSS feeds are for your bookmark in your browser.    Many sites and apps and widgets use those feeds...    chances are high.. pretty high.. that when you visit a site and see a bitcoin, gold, silver or whatever price there.. it came from ounce.me


EDIT :  I just spent the past 2 hours BTW making those RSS feeds more efficient and better labeled within the feed.  

Someone tell me how to make bitcoins from this... the past few weeks of my life have been mathed up to the wazoo with formulas trying to get everything balanced right.

Due to all the delays, I demand my donation back. Besides, I don't think I will use this silly app. Also, jsmithers has returned from the grave wanting his prize money which I donated to you, and now the exchange rate keeps climbing causing me great financial stress trying to obtain replacement coins. I feel I might kill myself if they're not return.

LOL!   Trust me I'm still working on it...  I literally have to weed out some app specific bugs... 

Stupid example,  on the site it renders fine in the Android browser,  when I put that in app format it scrolls side to side on some android phones... for no apparent reason.

I am completely trying to get this fixed now,  but in the meanwhile I did modify the rss feeds and cleaned them up because they were getting hammered big time with the Bitcoin price increase.
