Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Any update? I do expect repayment by tomorrow, since I was gone until today, and I posted on my thread that loans due within the time I'm gone can be extended till today. No PMs were recieved from koshgel.

Edit: Still nothing. Overdue by 1 day now, 3 more days till I consider it defaulted.

Nope. Its still pending
The amount is not that big as compared to the loan history he have
I hope he adds some extra interest as compensation once he comes back

I am NOT late on this loan because I never took out this loan.

It looks like my account was hacked and the hacker used it to borrow some BTC.

I am contacting theymos now

Obvious troll/impersonator is obvious. What about signing a message with an address posted long ago by koshgel?

Just a FYI: This excuse doesn't work when the OP signs a message with an old address and even receives the loan there  Roll Eyes

Not sure what the point of this imposter attempt is... I verified the messages, and saw that the address was posted here over 6 months ago by koshgel, and was used to take out many loans. I'm not an idiot. Example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1280281.msg13658186#msg13658186
I think he might have just ran into some problems.

Good luck getting your money back then. I tried to explain what is happening, but if you don't believe it then I really have no motivation to explain further.

The OP was last active about a day after the loan was due.

@DarkStar_ - did you receive any message from the OP letting you know the loan will be late?

edit - xinzark why are you answering for the lender Huh

I am doing that because I trust koshgel. He was also late once if you see his loan history
Also according to his loan history this loan is 5x lower then why would he scam ?

I am NOT late on this loan because I never took out this loan.

This is probably an account of any signature spammer who wants to make some posts on this thread with the help of this account
koshgel signed the message on that day kid. So your trolls are worthless here

I don't think koshgel would scam for such a low amount.

If he wanted to exit bitcointalk he could make more than 0.1 BTC by selling his account.

You wouldn't notice it, since unless they make a transaction, you wouldn't be able to find out anything. There aren't IP logs for bitcoin.

The OP was last active about a day after the loan was due.

@DarkStar_ - did you receive any message from the OP letting you know the loan will be late?
No, I haven't. Technically, the loan was due on the 15th, since I was away for Sunday - Friday last week, I posted on my thread that all loans due on that timeframe can be extended till Friday. I think koshgel just ran into personal issues or something. I highly doubt he would default now, since he has taken larger loans in the past.

Right he has repaid larger loans in the past, although he did repay a ~.23BTC loan very late not long ago.

From what I can gather, he plays poker with the money he borrows and when he loses he takes a long time to repay, a very long time. He had given me multiple deadlines to repay his previous loan, all of which he missed. Although to be entirely fair, BTC was skyrocketing at the time, so if he was planning on buying BTC it would have cost more for him to do so possibly resulting in it taking him longer to get the money together.

The fact that a troll created a fake account is not something that I would appreaiate.
