I'm not sure that paypal will accept bitcoin. Because obviously both very different systems. Might be a lot of changes if it happens because it takes a big change if paypal accept bitcoin. But I'm sure it will not happen.

That change could create a lot of problems with their website or their system so just better not do it. It will take longer maintenance which may also make their cutomers irritated and they could lose some users.
not only some users. they can loose lots of users with this. paypal is totally different and I don't think paypal need to accept bitcoin. users need both service equally both are important for peoples. there is already lots of bitcoin wallet to receive and send bitcoin.. no need to use paypal for the same purpose.
if paypal could accept bitcoin then why not? it will make all of bitcoin users can pay anywhere when paypal is accepted,if these two had been synced each other we'll feel the benefit, and you need to realize that bitcoin still beaten by paypal if it's about acceptance in stores

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

May I know the reason why does Paypal do not accept bitcoin as payment and/or deposit?! I know that Bitcoin is known widely on the internet so Paypal should accept it as a mode of payment since their forte is through the internet. I hope that someday, PayPal will acknowledge Bitcoin and put it as one of the mode of payment in their site. It will be very convenient for us.

No one really can know the reason why PayPal does not support bitcoin deposits except their developers if they reveal if what can be the reasons, maybe because they don't want to link theirself with something like bitcoin which is totally anonymous and they wont be able to keep tracks of the money or something.

I think that it would be a good thing because Paypal is worldwide more used and more popular so it would be good for bitcoin if Paypal could receive Bitcoin.
If it is going to happen Bitcoin is making some pretty good moves at the moment.

Until now, there's no news/trusted source which say paypal will accept bitcoin.
What we know is PayPal cooperate with Coinbase which means PayPal is a bit more friendly for bitcoin-related transaction Smiley

If you really want to use Paypal with your Bitcoin, why don't you just get a Bitcoin debit card? That is what I do because I use online websites that don't accept Bitcoin.

How much does it costs?
And How to use it?

Can you teach me those things? Thank you in advance and God bless us more Wink

Just because paypal use of dollars and hard currency only. Bitcoins and other alt coins are in the form of virtual currency which is money inside the internet only. It is created by some experts in computer all over the world. It is natural resources like gold, nickel, copper and etc.

Indeed it's something that makes the bitcoin into different currencies. Can we get something a good thing to be able to search for the good life in the bitcoin, so if we can use the bitcoin well then I am sure our lives will not be miserable. PayPal is a good currency, and I think if paypal can think well will surely accept bitcoin

Ahh well thought but just I have said bitcoin is like natural resources. For example like gold you earn gold through mining your land in the real world. So in cyberworld the mining of this currency is like gold you can mine and its value will bigger and bigger in the future as the supply will decrease. Law of demand and supply.

i think it's exactly the opposite. at the time paypal accepts to work with bitcoin, then it will give people less incentive to use paypal as preferred payment option. eventually it will cost them a lot billions in lost revenue. i am quite sure that share holders of ebay will not allow that to happen. they are interested in a growing company, and not a company that gets destroyed from inside. Then how bitcoin forms in cyberworld if you classified this currency as natural resources? Can you further details for this because you said real world and cyber world. Whats the differences between this two?

Bitcoin and Paypal are two different things and they aren't, in any way, depending on each other. Paypal would definitely survive even if they don't use Bitcoin simply because there would always be people avoiding and hating on Bitcoin. On the other hand, those people who knows the advantages that you can get from using Bitcoin will definitely stick to using Bitcoins.

I heard that coinbase will partner in paypal but still now paypal still not consider bitcoin as mode of payment..
I think they are not accepting bitcoin because of many illegal activity in bitcoin also many people are using paypal for scam people before and they have no reverse payment in bitcoin unlike paypal.
Its beecause paypal are not sure about accepting bitcoin to make an payment option to some online stores maybe there working on it now lets have an patience to wait until the project was done how about those countries that using bitcoin as legal one? paypal should choose some countries that can use bitcoin to paypal.

It won't disappear. Just one miner is enough to exist in order for Bitcoin to keep surviving. Regarding your question, it's really easy to differentiate the two worlds: cyber world is the one we're in when using our phones or any other technology. Real world is the one we have been born in.

I think it's possible that Paypal would start accepting Bitcoins. It's basically just another currency like dollars, euro, that they already have. There are price fluctuations on those currencies too so I think that Paypal receiving Bitcoins wouldn't be that hard to implement. There's a problem, though. Because Bitcoin payments aren't reversible I think there should be some changes.

Nevertheless, Paypal can deal with this small problem by not accepting withdrawals with Bitcoin but only payments and deposits. This way, no Bitcoin money actually goes out of Paypal and Paypal can just regulate whatever Bitcoin they have in their account. That means even if someone scams you using Bitcoin as payment, you can still revert it because it's still on Paypal's primary wallet.

Probably the same reason why PayPal doesn't take Skrill as a funding method, Them being a competition and in the exact same market PayPal is in right now, I also know they discourage using BTC in Ebay as well and only using PayPal, I guess that might change in the future though when bitcoin goes mainstream.

Since Bitcoin is being well known worldwide and becoming more popular nowadays, I think it might surpass PayPal someday. Many people find it more convenient rather than using PayPal as a mode of payment.

Unlike a lot of you guys, I don't think PayPal is the big evil empire anymore.  They used to suck my ass when they were tied into Ebay, but I haven't had any problems with them.  I use them for Ebay and I've used them to buy bitcoin.  Can't say I like them better than bitcoin, because I don't.

My guess is that they see bitcoin as a threat to their business model, and they don't like the irreversible nature of it.
