Maybe it's a good idea to assign some trusted people moderator status?
This forum is becoming troll heaven...

Agreed. There are a lot of people that don't believe in BTC and they need to be kicked off the forum. They do not believe and they do not believe in BTC.

GOOOOOOOOOOO BITCOINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: Oops. Just fixed a typo. It should be GO (like GO TEAM!) and not GOOB
Edit2: Just checked the dictionary and goob is not a word

Outside of one or two threads I don't really see much trolling. Maybe differing (dumb) opinion but not trolling.

One that doesn't like bitcoin doesn't have to be a troll, he or she can discuss with us perfectly well.
Those people should not be banned, we're all entitled to our opinion.

(no, trolling is not an opinion or valuable discussion...)

I don't totally agree with that. Constructive criticism is a requirement for an open environment. Maybe we should open a section for Trolls/Doubters and deal with them separately. Should it be actually constructive it would be welcomed in the main discussion area.

It's not a religion.  I'm not going to censor anyone because they are shortsighted or error prone.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

- Carroll Quigley, CFR member, mentor to Bill Clinton, from 'Tragedy And Hope'

I agree that constructive criticism is needed,  but I am sick of seeing 1000 new threads that say:
OMG,  the Bitcoin world is coming to an end!  SELL! SELL! SELL!

I'm not even convinced that they are being posted by real people rather than bots.

Lets get rid of worthless posts that do nothing to contribute.

Too bad we don't have "ignore" feature on here. Could be useful in some cases.
