Change username?

I was wondering if it was possible to change my username.  I started this account a while back before I got really into Crypto.  Now I have another name I go by in the Crypto world and would like to change my username if possible. I would rather not start a new account as then I would have to start over with my ratings.

no i don't think that you can change your name but actually name is not that important as you need it for log in only usually

As everyone said that it is very difficult to change the username here but in the beta forum ( and then to the future updated forum ) there is a feature to change the username of accounts. Also the account is not linked to a distinct profile url as it is currently here at smf. (useful to spammers bad for forum)

I think user name change should be allowed for a fee.But the user profile should mention the old user name and username change date ,so that user name change for illegitimate reasons can be discouraged
