i have tried everything but i am unable to use them on my amd rx 570 12 card rig, plz give correct syntax for both of them. also tell me how we can save config file in for miner in smos.

What is SimpleMining OS (SMOS) ?
It is nice looking and easy Operating system for mining on AMD GPUs

Most wanted info:
- idea is simple: download for free my OS and write it to any drive: Hard / SSD / even USB drive
- after that you just enter your email address in config.txt file and boot your rig
- login to simplemining.net dashboard using the same email and start managing your rig
- you can test it for free and then you need to pay only 2$ per rig per month
- if there will be new miner i will implement it fast with auto-updates system

Requirements:
- R OS = AMD GPUs R300/R200/HD7xxx series
- RX OS = AMD GPUs RX400/RX500 series
- NV OS = Nvidia GPUs (alsmost all of them)
- hard drive / ssd / usb drive - it must be 7GB or bigger
- at least 1-4GB system memory (depend how much GPUs are you using and what miner)

can anyone with asus b250 mining expert share their bios settings with smos?

i have tried many combinations of settings with 9 cards and smos registers each card but mines less tan 4 hashes each card, i have manyhours trying and cant find good answers online

Hey all, new here into mining. When using SMOS, tpruvot-2.1 miner, specifically with ANYTHING neoscrypt, I'm getting /root/xminer.sh: line 58: 18265 Illegal instruction $MINER_PATH $MINER_OPTIO

try removing the "-p c=GBX"  from the your line

I get "Socket was closed remotely by pool"
 When trying to mine ETH (with Ethermine) and DCR (with any pool)
I don't know what might be the issue.. I'm on claymore 10.v2
Can someone help me??

EDIT: -esm 3 was the issue behind this.
However I tried to mine with suprnova.cc pool and all my shares were being rejected. All the pools for decred are looking fishy, I guess i'll try SIA or Pascal.
Any other alternatives for dual mine eth & ?

Sometimes it'll reboot and wind up mining an algo that I've never mined(neoscrypt)

You don't have to like claymore, but very often is a best (fastest) option out there...  And I like whatever is fastest for me

make sure you dont have mport open ,
example for claymore "  -mport -3333 "  as long as u have a dash in front of the port number your ok , but if remove the dash then claymore can receive commands from external source.

I have a problem with dstm miner in your SMOS. Using 12 x P106 mining cards, they all work good for about 2-3 hours, after that time, the hashrate is starting to decline from 3700+ Sol/s to 2000 Sol/s for unknown reason. When using ewbf miners, the speed is lower and the machine is restarting more frequently, but the miner stays at 3500+ Sol/s. bminer should be better alternative to both of these miner programs, and I found out that it gives higher performance and also better stability.

That was my first thought. Fairly new to GPU rigs, can I check mport by SSH in or do I need to do it on the actual rig?

If your using simpleOS then it will be in the rig groups where u added the miner information, like when u selected the miner say claymore and inputted the pool address.
if u need more help on where the port information is then look up the miner your using and find guides for that.

Probably your SMOS account is compromised, You should change your SMOS password and enable 2FA on your account. You should also change your email password if possible just to be sure everything is secured.

This is purely a cosmetic issue but why doesn't the terminal color prompt (ie color ls, etc) work even after I edit .bashrc and uncomment the "force_color_prompt=yes" variable. I discovered that if I run bash again it work, but when I first ssh into the box everything is monochrome  . The "miner" username has bash as the default shell that I am sure of, so why isn't the variable enforced upon login.

Not really a super big deal, but I like my pretty terminal colors to distract me

2) What are some helpful commands in puTTY? i.e. popular ones.... how to restart the rig, how to see details on my AMD cards, etc....
3) Are there useful command line options to claymore's 10.4 that I need to know about? -r1 -minspeed xxx ?

1) Latest version should include the DAG fix.
2)

lspci -v (if you run it as root via "sudo lspci -v" you'll get info regarding the capabilities of the  card(s) )

sudo shutdown -h now (halts , ie shuts down your rig)
sudo shutdown -r now (reboots your rig)

3) checkout the claymore thread..there's a whole bunch of variables you can pass to it but the ones that are set by default with SMOS are pretty much the only ones you need.
