So a buddy of mine has invested over $3500 in one coin.

I told him bitcoin could go as high as 9 million per coin in 10 years and to invest in BTC...

He thinks that the spike is over. So he hasn't much at all invested in bitcoin.

You tell me, are trend-lines a fair indicator of future prices?
Ignoring all spikes, bitcoin trends up: https://blockchain.info/charts/market-price?timespan=all&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=

I knew from the start onecoin was a ponzi because it wasn't listed on a single exchange,
even after somehow acquiring "2 million members."
Bitcoin to this day does not have ANY "members" = decentralized. Members = the opposite.
And it turns out I was right, bitcoin.com exposes the ponzi with hordes of evidence:

How do I break it to this fella? I guess I can't really Sad
He along with many others is drinking the kool-aid until the ship sinks.

Forgive me for being honest, those who still disagree with me.
Please comment your thoughts, if any. Cheers to all my fellow Bitcoiners! VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

I don`t trust even the more popular altcoins.

Some people say that altcoins have more advantages than btc,but i still don`t believe this.

Every new crypto currency is a potential scam.Bitcoin is proven to be legit.

I knew from the start that onecoin is a scam since it doesn't exist on exchanges and on list of altcoins. That onecoin spams thru my timeline and someone invited me, at first sight I knew it's a scam coin too much value on such coin that doesn't exist. For OP., you already do your part, don't get worried if she/he experience loss, let it charge to experience.
yeah i already knew it when it was released but at that time i was going to invest some of my money but i read about it in some website as its a total scam and after that i was total aware and now i am feeling really safe and happy Smiley

Your friend is just one of the thousand people who were scammed by an alt coin project. I, myself, was scammed by the GBT Project. It's an alt coin that looked really promising and they even had a signature campaign in this forum. The coin had a really good potential and once the site gets the new interface, the income will come to the investors. Sadly, though, the GBT team just vanished together with the 200 BTC that were collected from the investors of the coin. All we could do is move on. We were basically scammed, after all.

Investing in a new alt and expect it to be better than Bitcoin? This is what you get instead. I learned this myself after couple of potentially amazing altcoin project I was very interested in failed miserably.
Never trust an altcoin until it is proven to be reliable asset. There is only one coin you can be sure that it will bring you profit while holding it - it is bitcoin.

onecoin is not simply an altcoin but a MLM ponzi scheme masked by a coin.
some time they sell "advertising", potential revenue, this time a fake altcoin (premined and with a ponzi scheme behind revaulation or taking new users)

Yes it is true that one coin could possibly be a ponzi scheme. A certain country have warned its citizens that onecoin could be a scam. They may not declare it if they haven't enough proofs or solid evidence to back up their claims. Aside from that many negative feedbacks are hitting onecoin due to that issue. Being said, it is no longer wise to invest on onecoin and getting your money out is the best thing to do.

-snip-

You can not call Onecoin an altcoin because there is no evidence that the blockchain already exists. There is currently only a centralized site where you can buy educational material. By buying such material you earn the right to request a particular amount of Onecoins when the blockchain was set up some time in the future.

If people choose to be monumentally stupid in the face of painfully obvious evidence then there's no helping them. State the facts. Walk away. Let them eat their hard lesson.

well if you let him to put his coin there you would have a fault for that but if not it is only his responsibility , it is commonly advisable that look for a reviews or research about any projects or any investment before putting your coins , now it's gone so you have nothing to do about it but to let it go .

Onecoin has business like a ponzi scam so if someone study their business than it can find the reality of this, last year so many people send me link to join this but I avoid their proposal about because there is no life with scam business model, it has been designed to steal money from people.

He needs to do his research. Never invest in anything that you haven't researched. Bitcoin is trusted and prove, while Onecoin is not. Onecoin has many red flags, while Bitcoin is trusted and used by many people. If your friend is to stupid to realize this, natural selection will take care of him.

The Onecoin Ponzi Scam is presently under Federal Investigations in nearly a dozen countries on 3 continents!

For the most recent and comprehensive INVESTIGATIVE REPORT on what this is, please review/ SHARE the following: https://news.bitcoin.com/beware-definitive-onecoin-ponzi/

For yesterday's Radio Show Broadcast breaking down how Onecoin/ OneLife has absolutely defied ALL UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLES OF ECONOMICS and broken all laws of SUPPLY v DEMAND (including their own MAGIC PHILOSOPHY of "hyper-inflation" and "dilution"), tune in HERE:

SO, WHAT CAN YOU DO!?!

REPORT THEM AND/ OR HELP THE VICTIMS AND POTENTIAL VICTIMS!

HERE are ALL THE SUSPECTED Onecoin Meet-Up Groups please help find others on EventBrite and other sites, and expose them HERE! "Infiltrate" and work "undercover," if need be! Notify your local Authorities (and provide them with the REPORT linked above. RECORD audio (and video, if possible), as this can be used to help aid the Prosecutors when it is time for "claw-backs" in the form of financial restitution to VICTIMS. BE PEACEFUL! BUT ALSO CALL THESE CRIMINALS AND/ OR DECEIVED VICTIMS (THEMSELVES) OUT!

***note: I am 'fairly certain' that this represents the lot of them, but we need "eyes on the ground" to verify

First let me say that Bitcoin will never ever hit the $9,000,000 price mark.  If it did, that would mean that bitcoin in whole is worth over 200 Trillion dollars.  That will never happen unless the dollar looses value to about 10,000 to 1
