If I'm cashing out via Dwolla, is there any advantage trading on Tradehill versus MtGox?

(Note that this will be my first time trading on either of these markets)

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

We had to catch up on a lot of volume, we're pretty quick again.
If it comes in late at night you might have to wait until morning.
Our process is mostly automatic but we approve all the transfers.
Today Dwolla was accepted within 15 min on average.

To be objective the biggest difference might be their withdraw limit.

What happened to your bank direct deposit withdrawl method?

Why would most serious traders switch from Gox to TH if you don't accept bank withdrawals?
Some people don't have time to play games with common jokes like PayPal, Dwolla and similar middlemen acting on their own terms and whims.

Hell, the vast majority of the withdrawal methods on TradeHill are credits for some online MMO's.

Farmville? Really?
This doesn't convey a particularly professional image when compared to Mt. Gox.

Perhaps not to a speculative trader, but to the average Joe this might make the market seem more accessible. I think TradeHill is doing its part to demystify bitcoins for the average user.

Ok, fair point. It does promote adaption of the currency.

But when it's done at the expense of 'real' withdrawal methods it's strange to say the least.

You are effectively limited to some prepaid credit card, and dwolla, if you actually want to cash out.

True, I'm not sure why they offered normal methods of withdrawal at first and now they're all gone. The only thing I can think of is that they received far more attention than they expected and couldn't get everything working properly right from the start. Remember, TradeHill has only been open a few days so far -- they don't even have a working market data API yet. I'm sure the bank transfer withdrawal option will be back soon.

MtGox malfunctioned on me multiple times today, costing me hundreds of dollars by not allowing me to post a buy order during the rally...

Haven't tried tradehill yet but I am going to now!

Farmville is innocuous, innocent and some other harmless inn- prefixed words.  It sure as hell beats opium in the public eye, so I'll take an association between them.

i rather enjoy the different payouts, i can use my btc to buy bday presents without waiting for the money to get to bank, aka cutting out the middle man for xbox and itunes cards, plus i can still send to dwolla if i want the money. seems win win to me

It's probably best to have a little bit in each exchange, you never know when the opportunity presents itself to take advantage of that Wink
