OP shouldnt be disapponted with what happen to the price of Bitcon after halving.  Price had been increasing this past months.  from somewhere 300 USD to peak 700+ Usd, now it is stable at 630usd - 680 usd  am sure lots have profited from this event.   If you are expecting higher price than this, I think you need to wait another semester.

Even today's price after the Bitfinex hack is still double 12 month ago price. So the halving has some effects.

I agree. The price was around $250 12 months ago and it's $586 right now so it was more than doubled actually. I'm not disappointed by today's price although I do think that it will be over $600 very soon.
The price has has a good past 12 months but i think that the rise back up to the $500-$600 mark had just as much to do with btc finally finding some price ground as it did by the halving event.

I can't see the price rising too much more with all the in-house fighting going on relating to the scaling debateand other issues.
I wouldn't be making a large business investment in bitcoin just yet until things amongst the devs cool down and they start running things much more smoothly. (I haven't followed things to closely lately so i hope the dev team is getting along better now)

As i expected price will fluctuate between 500 and 700$ for some time.
This can be called stability, and this will attract more investors, so price will rise naturally but slow. This is good!

i was quite disappointed right now because bitcoin price is now below $600 because i expect that after halving  bitcoin price would not be lower than $600. Well i will just have to wait again till it reaches $700 then trade my btc to USD

I never expected a significant increase in price and I am expecting the 'significant increase' in the next 6-12 months. So, I'm not disappointed and not happy. More like 'neutral'.

Exactly how I feel, it's in a few hours but I'm rather interested what will happen, it probably won't affect me that much but I'm still interested in what will happen. I don't personally believe that something BIG or rather greatly significant will happen, maybe in a few weeks but, huh, what do i know. :d

You can never know, we can just wait and see. The price can also jump high in a few days, do you hold any significantly higher amount of btc or something smaller?

Well i do always save 5% of my earnings everytime i got pay and i think that amount right now on my saving is quite good enough to take some profit if the price goes up. Well if bitcoin price drops lower i will try to buy some for future needs but not that big amount tho.

If you're talking about the halving, it already happened a few weeks back.

In these times being neutral is the best option. Just look at how many people are disappointed because the price didn't go up after the block halving. They think the block halving increase will still come, while in fact it happened before the halving has taken place.

I am fully happy and satisfied with current price of Bitcoin. I really didn't had any unrealistic expectation about halving because i knew that this means price will not further drop under $ 380 after mining cost. There was impact on price as these reached to all time highs in last 2 years which is very positive side. After recent incident still price are on recovering mode. I appreciate current floor of price without any complain or disappointment.

Know it's still very soon, but can't wait for all this bitfinex business to price out. The halving seemed to usher in so much craziness; the DAO, hashocean and some very large scale intrusions. There is a lot going on at the moment, and I think confidence might be shaken a bit. But it's not the end, it just needs time. This is the most volatility I've seen in btc for some time, but I'm not always paying attention.

I'm only observing the price of bitcoin at most 5x a day only when I'm awake.
This is also by far the most volatile price movement I have ever seen since I joined bitcoin. Well, I've seen the prices go high up but never have I seen it go dance around a range like this.

The expectations were very high and hopeful and if you remember these were going to be fulfill, but because of bitfinex everything crashed, and the price of bitcoin started to decrease much faster just before halving, and then it came to $650 and stopped there for months, and then . . .

i dont think it made it worse. Halfing strengthened the price imo. Before halfing, the bitfinex hack would have probably decimated the btc price. but we're still strong at ~$590.

Yes, we should not have to be disappointed as with the news of halving more and more eople started to adopt bitcoin and from that time the price of bitcoin started to increase and it doubled all of our money in there.

Next halving is going to be epic!  Grin
We have few years to prepare ourselves, for that event.  Roll Eyes

Why we even bother so much with this event?
I think we should focus on market, and rising demand..evrithing else is speculative.
Reality is the bitcoin becoming very popular, and demand will influence the price.
Halving is used only by whales for creating mass hysteria..And profit.

this halving is not done yet, it just the beginning, the real bubble need still to come in play, at current level bitcoin is very undervalued and before the next halving, i'm expecting a solid 1k+ value

Whoever expected an instant pump was delusional. I always thought something like this would happen. Price would go up prior halving slowly, then a couple months of more or less stability (except the dump due the bitfinex hack but we are getting back to the latest price soon) then we will go to 2000+ dollars next year.
