Hi guys, I'm thinking about buying a new antminer s7 and joining a pool, actually where I live I pay 2$ a month for electricity and I have 2 five ton a/c in the house, I'm really new at this so my question is, how much money do you think I can make with this setup. Thank you in advance.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Even if you're past that point, you should factor in how much you paid for it.

Is it really 2$ a month or 2cents/kWh?

philipma1957 used a 4% difficulty increment but I would put more.

Will you still be profitable? What would your break even point be with the cost of your setup?

Thanks for replying, so that simulation says I'm recovering my investment maybe in two years? I'm sorry kinda new to this. I'm thinking about buying a new s7 and a power supply (maybe that's 600-700$ investment). To be honest the electricity bill is absolutely not a concern is practically for free.

Even if you're past that point, you should factor in how much you paid for it.

Above I said how much I think I'm expending in equipment, also give detail about the electricity service (cheap AF). But I don't really understand what the simulation says but I think it's something like by 2018 I'll make 600$?

Will you still be profitable? What would your break even point be with the cost of your setup?

That are exactly my questions, thank you.

Well here is the problem in a nut shell  which is why I did the projection.  None of us can go out 5 months 10 months 15 months 20 month 25 months into the future  and look at the real numbers.

Thus no one can tell if the gear will turn a profit.
Basically it is the classic point of being a human  being as Doris Day would sing   this song Que Sera Sera   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZbKHDPPrrc

That said I used a projection that shows a likely (not sure likely)   possibility .

So if you can get 1 unit with 1 psu   for 600 usd or less and if you pay 2 dollars a month it is likely you will make money  but not sure.

Mining is kind of like  a 10-15%  profit item.  My guess is you could make 10 to 15% profit on your 600 dollar investment  in about 18 months time.

But it is a guess that is all.
