Hi. TajCoin is released so that my son and his older sister have a programming learning path to follow. I never got my self into heavy coding in my 20+ years in the IT business and it feels f...k awsome to live today a decade in the future (at least according to Andreas https://youtu.be/mRQs9Y6CUSU?t=19m24s). This may not be the answer you wanted but its the truth. Gonna get a a few hours shuteye now. Happy BitcoinHalving day to everyone.

What is the purpose of this coin besides honoring your kid? I can give you a lot of false promises but i am not that kind of a guy. Primary purpouse is "honouring" my kids 4th BD and establishing a personalized ledger. All other development stages will be a subject of the near future and of course the depth of my pocket to finance everything.

Five miners already in the pool. Someone have rented some blake2s hash for TAJ network? 2.5GHs nethash is hard to compete! (also PoS blocks are found alot, half of all the blocks this far when looking to the explorer) This pool can be added to the list.

So sad all the five miners left the pool after ten minutes of mining. Someone's PoS mining most the blocks at the moment with his wallet weight. And remember Wolf does have a blake2s AMD miner for sale, which someone is using by looking at net hash. http://louhimo.club/site/minersWaiting for a ccminer or sgminer to show up in the list

Solo mining. I just keep getting this ERROR: AcceptBlock() : coinbase timestamp is too early ERROR: ProcessBlock() : AcceptBlock FAILED ERROR: CheckWork() : ProcessBlock, block not accepted hmm, found this kind of information related to the issue: // Check coinbase timestamp if (GetBlockTime() > (int64)vtx[0].nTime + nMaxClockDrift) return DoS(50, error("CheckBlock() : coinbase timestamp is too early"));

Solo mining. I just keep getting this ERROR: AcceptBlock() : coinbase timestamp is too early ERROR: ProcessBlock() : AcceptBlock FAILED ERROR: CheckWork() : ProcessBlock, block not accepted hmm, found this kind of information related to the issue: // Check coinbase timestamp if (GetBlockTime() > (int64)vtx[0].nTime + nMaxClockDrift) return DoS(50, error("CheckBlock() : coinbase timestamp is too early"));
// Check coinstake timestamp if (IsProofOfStake() && !CheckCoinStakeTimestamp(GetBlockTime(), (int64)vtx[1].nTime)) return DoS(50, error("CheckBlock() : coinstake timestamp violation nTimeBlock=%"PRI64d" nTimeTx=%u", GetBlockTime(), vtx[1].nTime));
// Check timestamp against prev if (GetBlockTime() <= pindexPrev->GetMedianTimePast() || GetBlockTime() + nMaxClockDrift < pindexPrev->GetBlockTime()) return error("AcceptBlock() : block's timestamp is too early");
// Check timestamp if (GetBlockTime() > GetAdjustedTime() + GetMaxClockDrift(nHeight)) return error("AcceptBlock() : block timestamp too far in the future");
// Check coinbase timestamp if (GetBlockTime() > (int64)vtx[0].nTime + GetMaxClockDrift(nHeight)) return DoS(50, error("AcceptBlock() : coinbase timestamp is too early"));
I think this error means that the future drift time limit is violated. main.h line 58 inline int64_t FutureDrift(int64_t nTime, int nHeight) { return nTime + 30 * 60; } If you restart your daemon if should "restart" the time and the next block should be valid. This happened because there was no block found for such a long time, but since the chain is rolling along again it should not be a problem anymore I think...

Hi all. Just came back home. I see there where some issues with block 165 and the "block timestamp too far in the future".
Very happy you guys solved it by restarting tajcoind. Respect.
Amazing to see so many people from around the globe getting involved.
Nodes poping up from Slovenia-Indonesia-United States of America-Sweden-Ukraine-Bulgaria-Poland-Netherlands-United Kingdom-Denmark-Portugal.
With all the shit that exist on this earth to seperate and divide us it gives me great hope for humanity seeing that one tiny project like TajCoin connecting people together and seeing collective resolutions of small technical issues like the one with block165.
Its a real honour to be part of the cryptocurrency realm and being in presence of likeminded individuals all sharing the same ideology that will in the future reshape a lot of problems humanity is facing today.
I am gonna finish this with a quote from John McMcafee "Cryptocurrency is coming. Its like the Pandoras box that has been opened. You will never get that idea back into the box."

I'm unsure about is this related, but what I found out the difficulty went so high for PoW at the very start that GPUs found most of the PoW blocks. Likely half of the found blocks are PoS mined if looking into the explorer. I can check is the wallet having timeoffset, because its been up and running from very start, restarted it once. If there is time drift, I have to shut down the stratum for the time when I restart the wallet and wait it to synchronize fully before firing stratum up to make sure there won't happen chain forking.

Coinbase maturity is 33 blocks so in order for freshly mined/newly mined coins to be spendable they need to mature first. Next payout timer is in the upper right corner on the Louhimo.club pool http://louhimo.club/explorer/TAJ. Right now it says Next Payout: 21:45 GMT.

Hi all, I set up a donation address for a crowdfunded purchase of the blake2s AMD miner: It is at the bottom of the Nevacoin OP here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1388222.0The address: 1CQcKodWTcfBHM48iL9kbqqozgY7v4aVoj I contacted Wolf0 for the actual price of such a purchase, as soon as I find out the price it will be posted also... @staysecure Since our coins use the same algorithm we can jointly found this purchase. At time of writing Louhimo.club pool is contributing 3Ghs while Net hashrate is 5.2Ghs so there is another non publicly announced pool or a solo miner or two making up the 2.2Ghs difference.

As much as i love decentralized community driven services i cant leave the network at the mercy of third parties as my primary job is to keep to network up and synched and blockchain at 100% availability. A huge tnx to whoever solved block1270 30mins ago. I sent him/her a small tip for unf....g the network

Hi @duts_bg. First thank you for the "honourable" compliment , i am doing my best to be a stand up IT guy. I have quite a few ideas about the future of the ledger and TAJ tokens but they are gonna be HW and SW costly to built so the roadmap will follow along the line in baby steps. I restrain myself to put it all in writing and timestamping it as that way i can quite quickly get myself into the situation of not delivering anything in time. Hope you can all respect that.

Guessing its because the Coinbase timestamp is lower than the CBlock timestamp.

Good morning. Only way to get this resolved is by restarting tajcoind every aprox 30 mins untill a new block is found.

Hi there no appology needed i am very gratefull for your support with TajCoin. With 20+ years in the IT business i am fully aware of the s...t that comes with updates. We do our best to have zero downtime and service interuptions but in some cases its just not possible. Glad you got stratup issues sorted out. Pool is running smooth. My boy Taj had BD party today for his kindergarden friends and i just now found some time to sit by the console to do some jobs and stop by on BCT. In case anyone wonders i leave tabs open most of the time so i am essentially online 24/7 just not present always at the console. You all have a great peacefull weekend and dont let all the shit going on in the world make you belive there isnt a better future ahead. Greetings from Slovenia.

Is there any plans for getting on an exchange or is it still too early for that?
Getting on an exchange could increase interest in TAJ.
At the moment most of the coins seem to be ending up in the hands of a handful of people which short term isnt a big deal but in the long run isnt ideal.

Hi Kazadar yes they are. Dont count TAJ on getting onto any prominent exchanges any time soon as i honestly dont have the spare capital right now for such a listing. For starters i have submitted a free listing request at @Yobit and a vote for TAJ on @C-Cex.

Is there any plans for getting on an exchange or is it still too early for that?
Getting on an exchange could increase interest in TAJ.
At the moment most of the coins seem to be ending up in the hands of a handful of people which short term isnt a big deal but in the long run isnt ideal.
I think the dev thinks it's still too early for everything as that's what his response is for pretty much everything. I dont see anyone complaining on the fact that only a handfull of people knew about bitcoin first few years since creation. If you want false promises and rushing deadlines and roadmap i cant keep up with then yes "too early for everything".

The main issue as I see it, is the low hashrate. One miner stopping can stop the chain for hours. It also leaves the chain vulnerable to attack. For several days I was holding more than half of the hashrate and the coins.
So I am just looking for a ways increase the security of the blockchain.

I think the difficulty adjustment is a bit tough currently, most PoW blocks goes for GPUs because of much bigger hashrate than CPUs get. Still the PoS system is great addition which helps securing the chain, I see lots of PoS blocks too. What I think there should be couple more of PoS nodes - and this network gets more secure. Technically one wallet open is enough to keep the blocks running. What I recommend personally is easy staking and network securing with one Raspberry Pi I can provide the armhf wallet binaries if someone is unable to compile their own.

Meh I'll just wait till someone releases their private miner to the public, it always happens, look at the nicehash miner.... I am pretty sure they are using his latest source for increased hashrates for the majority of algorithms.

TAJ was added to POSWallet.com. Why POSWallet.com? Bringing cryptocurrencies to the masses is a crucial step towards integration into society. Running a local copy of a wallet is cumbersome and requires the computer to always be on for Proof-of-Stake coins. POSWallet.com solves this problem by creating a place to store your virtual coins in a secure environment while earning interest at the same time! Getting started is very easy and simply requires you to register below. Benefits of POSWallet.com - Extra security - manual review and balances matched in cold wallet for protection - Store your coins in an online wallet and benefit from group staking - Ability to send coins anywhere in the world, instantly - Exchange one type of coin for another quickly and easily, without a tx fee! - Low transaction fees (up to 1% on deposit) - you keep the coins you stake. Fees pay for the faucets. - Bug bounties - email poswallet.bugs (at) gmail.com for more information/support. Visit faucet: https://poswallet.com/faucet.php?coin=taj and open a free online stake wallet and benefit from group staking.My personal invite to get started with PosWallet https://goo.gl/SQfnXK

Wallet is showing 2 connections and 0 net weight and 0 seconds to stake. Am i missing something? Is Taj staking for someone else? Thx for any help. Hi PollacoMan sorry for the late response i am with fam on yearly vacation and for these 2 weeks trying to be offline as much as possible (like that ever worked for me ). Proof of stake is essentially a competition like PoW so in order to find a stake block it relies on factors such as PoS difficulty, the number of TAJ you are staking , the quality of your connection to the network. Considering you only get 2 connections to the network you should check your firewall settings as you should get at least 10 connections. Ophan blocks are quite normal every stake wallet has them and since you got only 2 orphans in 2 days is nothing to worry about it just means someone with aprox the same ammount of TAJ as you have is stkaing as well and he/she found the same block but only one gets accepted. Blockchain is a little sluggish as TAJ is only 30 days old crypto and not many miners are mining the coin. Otherwise PoS is working you can check this on blockexplorer https://chainz.cryptoid.info/taj/extraction.dws?0.htmI didnt quite understand the part "is Taj staking for someone else". Any online wallet with any ammount of TAJ connected to the network is staking. Maybe check the OP for PoSWallet link and benefit from pool staking. You have a great day. Off to sleep now. GN.
