I agree, the problem is that the EU is controlled by the like of those working for Goldman Sachs... And the interests of the People is a notion foreign to them. They perceive themselves as better human beings, of course above the law ( his majesty Corzine is a good example) and their only goal in life is to enrich themselves while enslaving Mankind.

So as long as the EU is be a puppet state of American ruling class there is O chance of improving it. The American ruling class want and need a subservient Europe, and more importantly divided from the rest of the Eurasian continent. Regulatory capture is something only possible in societies who have already collapsed internally. I believe that GS had hit the wall in Russia (Chineses are manipulating GS and they are a second tier bank in China now) and a little confrontation will ensue. Goldman wasn't the only bank involved, and wasn't the largest involved.

It's happening all the time. Some years ago, I had a daytime job and an evening job at a competing company. Both would have fired me if they knew what I was doing. And I've down much worse since those days!

Give the man a break, he's free and he can do whatever he wants.
