Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Apparently the latest versions won't work on windows XP.  Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1375317.0
Try out the older versions instead.  Electrum 2.5.4 worked fine for me when I still use XP.

Trusted an exchange that climbed to the top 3 in just under 2 years with your money? you are fucking stupid.

1.Coinbase is not a wallet, its an online exchange having their own wallet system.Storing coins in any of the online wallets is not safe.

2.Might consider upgrading your PC ? I mean its 2016.

3.The only possible alternative I can think of right now is this https://multibit.org/ download and check if its compatible with your configuration.
