If the match is V (versus) then the home team is 1st
A v B
If the match is @ (at) then the home is 2nd
B v A

Thats how most UK bookies work
In fairness over here USA sports (NFL / NBA) are normally @ and Soccer (Association Football) is V

Exactly. BitBook displays events as: Home vs Away

We will take a look at making this customizable but that could lead to more confusion rather than less.

Bitbook, a couple of my tennis wagers were delayed a day and as per rules it seems that's a push (not sure it's always auto applied)

I could use these funds on other plays.

Mathieu vs. Kudla
del potro vs. laaksonen
Stepanek vs. Dimitrov

Could you please grade these plays a push for me?

Hey Tennis,

Most sports are pushed if the event is moved to a later day, but because it is fairly common in tennis the rules explicitly state that this does not apply: "If a tennis match is completed, all wagers stand as written. A delay in the start of a match will not affect the standing of wagers, nor will a suspension, as long as play is resumed and the match completed. This explicitly supercedes the general rule governing this situation."

https://bitbook.biz/rules

Sorry about the funds being tied up.

Ah okay, yeah... with tennis this seems to be a common theme across books.  Alright, no problem - thanks for the quick response.

Bitbook, can you speak to the posted "30 btc limit" - as I keep running into much lower limits. For my first bet, often under 5 btc for major NFL games, and more like under 2 btc for most tennis matches, often under .2-.5 available on my first bet on a match.

It states "Popular bet, remaining available is:"

Can this be addressed? I feel like the 30 btc limit is a little misleading at this point.

There are 3 ways that our limit can be pushed below 30 BTC:

  • For smaller events (for instance, many tennis matches), we may have lower limits.
  • For bigger events long before start time (i.e. when an event is first posted)
  • If one side of an event has a disproportionate amount of action (i.e. everyone is betting on The Broncos)

We hate to ever limit action, but our commitment is to always manage BitBook as responsibly as possible. At times that means limiting our exposure, by decreasing a max. We can see how it can be somewhat confusing to have "Max 30" posted if this isn't the case 100% of the time, but we've chosen to leave it since it lets new users know what they can generally expect.

We've been consistently raising our limits, and we will look to raise them more soon. We will also continue to work hard to accept as many bets as is responsibly possible.

Would you mind disclosing how exactly you calculate payments to refferrals?

Affiliates receive a percentage of the volume of their referral's bets instantly each time a referral places a bet. The funds are transferred to their account, and are not based on whether their referrals win or lose. The exact percentage varies somewhat based on a couple factors, but is generally around 0.25%. We have had affiliates that have made large amounts by referring a single very active user, and we have also had affiliates that have gotten a few referrals, but they haven't been active so their earnings were proportionally small. We've found that the program has worked very well for our affiliates and that the key is attracting very active users.

About the 30BTC bet limit: does that limit apply to the total pending bets too?

or it is only per one bet, so that i can even place 10 bets with 30BTC stake on the same event?

The 30 BTC limit is applied on the individual bet, but in order to ensure that we are responsibly managing the book we also will apply general limits when one side of a bet becomes very popular. This can happen for events with max bets being placed.

As we've grown BitBook we've been consistently raising our limits, and may have another round of raises soon. If you've run into any issues with the limits, please send us a PM and we can personally try to help you have the best possible experience wit BitBook.

Hey LoudPacKK. We responded to your PM but for the public record the winning bet on this match was actually Under 1.5 since the fight didn't go past a total of 1.5 rounds.

The fight ended 1:40 minutes into the 2nd round. For the over to hit it would have had to have gone more than 2:30 minutes into the 2nd round.

please can you add more betting options for soccer. I've been suggesting this for months. Common things like BTTS, first goal scorer, player x to score next, etc.
