I got a couple of buyers who want to purchase 50-100 BTC worth of iotas. I would never get involved in such a trade unless the people were of great value to the ecosystem. They will be buying at bulk market rate.

Stumbled onto iota and think its a really interesting project. There's a couple of chats with 100s of pages and wanted to know if someone could answer some questions before i take the dive...

-How many iotas are in circulation
-Where can i buy them
-Is there a specific wallet for iotas and where can i find it

Thanks in advance.

here you can see the total amount:
http://iotasupport.com/whatisiota.shtml

you can buy them just OTC like here for example or in slack channel.

and you can just use a simple console wallet right now :

Supply of "useful people" should be independent of price up or down.  Wink

Not necessarily, the lower price useful people enter at, the bigger incentive they will have to stick with the project. This was one of the main reasons Nxt failed, it went from development to full launch and bubble within the first month, causing a huge clog that it never recovered from.

Yeah, but aren't ICO investors entering at the lowest price point, and therefore should have more incentive, yet they are selling at 15x to people that should have even more incentive? Regardless, Iota needs to be on exchanges last month, taking way too long. Why do you keep referencing Nxt by the way, it hasn't failed as far as I know, they are still in development.

ICO buyers got a strong incentive yes, but a lot of people do not even realize the potential they are sitting on, as we can see by a lot of idle people. And no, IOTA should absolutely not have been on exchanges a month ago, it would've been a disaster. If more large holders actually stepped up and did something we'd been on exchanges back in July easily, but alas that is not the case.

I keep referencing Nxt because back in late 2013 I predicted exactly how Nxt would die, at at time everyone called me crazy for thinking so, but just like I say here ad nauseam, I said back then: if the people with the highest incentive do not share that incentive with people who can realize the potential, well then you will lose it. Nxt has failed, there are still devs there, yes like all other projects, but in general Nxt is dead, look at the marketcap and lack of interest in the platform.

Software without users is useless.
