If this is a betting exchange where are the ask/bid pairs?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

It's a hybrid-exchange. An exchange meaning you wager against other players, not the site. You do not post bids and offers based on odds, the site calculates all odds at true vig-free (overround correction) and keeps them updated. That is why you see NY Knicks +187/Indiana Pacers -187, for example. True-vig free, good luck finding better on either site!

You can think of it as a vig-free bet matching service rather than an exchange. Someone can post for the Knicks, someone else comes along and wants the Pacers, then they are matched and a bet is created. You can see the open orders (people listed directly under the side they want, with amount) - but you cannot see what has already been matched. So the liquidity is greater than what is visible.

Feel free to pm or email with any other questions!

No Fees til Football promo! July 4 - August 4.

The usual 1% fee on won amounts is waived during this time. This means you can wager at true vig free odds, try it out!

You guys need to implement instant deposits. It's hard for you to compete against the likes of NitrogenSports when it can take 45 minutes or longer for a deposit to show up. I know you have better odds, but many people do not like the idea of having the lines move while they are waiting for their deposit to show up.

Sometimes I wonder if any professional athletes bet on/against themselves using (potentially) anonymous Bitcoin Betting sites? Nah. Wouldn’t be ethical. Heh.

The site's owner(s) generally are not on the forums too much. Email their support or contact user "Cusipz" in the chat. He is a worker or is the owner of the site, still cannot tell which. He'll help you with your problem.

Yeah I usually just talk to Cusipz if I have a problem, but I have not seen him online today. Guess I'll try the email support. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks! But we're not new, this is our 3rd NFL/NCAAF season, the longest of any bitcoin sportsbook Smiley - we have earned the trust of our players over a very long time.

Good luck with your site as well.

this thread is quite dead.
how about the liquidity in certain markets (NFL, NBA...) ?

And what is with the problem the user bitcoinrocks pointed
out regarding line changes?

Is there still this 1 BTC min. bet?
1 BTC is currently rougly 900 $, which is quite a high min bet.

You can now bet in increments of 0.1 btc.

Liquidity is pretty good for NFL playoff games.  Sometimes everyone wants one side though.  You might see 15 btc in unmatched offers on one side and then you know you have little to no chance of getting matched if you want that same side.

It's a great site to have an account at because you can occasionally get the best line there.  More often than not you won't be able to get down, but it's still worth it to have an account.  Especially if you are betting major events like NFL playoffs...

To give an idea of the liquidity for NFL playoffs, here's the reqests I see now (you can take other side):

Game 1

Saints +10 -109 2.5 btc

Seahwaks ML -372 3.0 btc

Under 43.5 +100 0.8 btc

Game 2

Colts +7.5 -110 7.3 btc
Patriots Ml -265 25.0 btc

Tomorrow's games:

Game 3

Panthers ML -105 45.0 btc

Game 4

Broncos ML -345 34.7 btc

Site is down. Is the show over?

Did the players get paid? Some people had large amounts of BTC on there.

Looks like it:

"Due to a legal issue, we are suspending operations. Please cancel any orders and withdraw your balance or email support from your authorized email address for a manual withdrawal. Matches for March 27 and beyond have been voided. We appreciate your support over the last 3 years"

http://forum.sbrforum.com/sportsbooks-industry/2841470-btcsportsmatch-eu.html

And according to the posting on that thread withdrawals weren't working after that post was made.  I'm sure the operator made off with a bunch of BTC as there were probably accounts on there that people haven't checked/used in awhile.
