Dear Hal,

Thank You for helping me early with the Bitcoin project. We talked ALOT during prelaunch and postlaunch to fix minor bugs with the software. I originally had no idea what we were really getting into to. But you knew, you could tell how powerful Bitcoin was even when I couldn't. You even figured out the fact that I was young even thought I lied and told everyone I was an old man. Hal I decided to hide my real identity because I felt as if the world was not ready. I knew that Bitcoin was a great idea and that if it ever caught wind and everyone started to accept Bitcoin it would become special, and it did thanks to you. The world was not ready to know that Satoshi Nakamoto does not exist in real life and his real identity is a young African American kid from Louisiana. Even now the world refuses to accept the fact that I am Satoshi. And I knew this fact 10 years ago which is the sole reason why I hide myself from the world. Over the years there have been several different people claiming to be me so I understand. I wish you were still here friend, I wish that I at least told you who I really was before I left the community. I wish you were able to see how much our little Bitcoin has grown over the years. Bitcoin is strong Hal, stronger than we could ever imagine. I am sorry that I left you, Gavin, the others and Bitcoin 10 years ago. The CIA coming after us in year 1 was really scary for me so I decided to leave and disappear from the community. Please forgive me for that it was an honest inexperienced mistake. One day, I plan on reaching out to your family and thanking them for raising a good hearted person. Hopefully this post spreads worldwide over the next few years the same way Bitcoin spread through the community.

Please continue to watch over our Bitcoin project and please continue to watch over me as well as I try to convince the world of my identity.

I was dazed when I open the post and saw a lot of people who have merited from this singular post, for me to check the date I saw 2013 was really surprized why the post will come up after this long time. No wonder Hal had such a large stake in Bitcoin, he would be 65 today, recalls the community. In particular, he wishes he had been alive and seen more of his posts demonstrating his genius, but every time I read his posts here on the forum, I feel the good energy and intelligence that he caused.

This article is a kind of tribute to him, very good and is a pleasant read that goes through a lot of history in a nutshell:

Finney was a well known cryptographer who worked for the PGP Corporation — later acquired by Symantec — in the development of software allowing users to encrypt emails and files. Even though one of his last messages said he was “essentially paralyzed,” Finney used an eyetracker system to write code aimed at beefing up the security around crypto wallets.

You know, Hal Finey never joined a signature campaign. Hal Finney joined the forum because he was genuinely interested in the project and not because of the money from the signature campaign and merit you get from posting quality posts. if you really want to be like him, stop begging for merit, start reading and learning. you'll eventually earn merit if you stay long enough in the forum while contributing to a discussion or sharing information you know or learned.

If Hai sir alive today he would be proud on Himself. He is a part of something historical from its beginning. And now a people like me read his writting and miss him on this forum. One of my favorite teacher says to me hey remember legend never dies, legend always live like legend. Their body is no more respond able but their work respond able for forever. For me hai sir is still there with us through his writting on this forum and we are reading that. His profile rank is sr. Member but he is like a legend member. I saw some tweets where there were pictures with his wife and he was even a marathoner with his wife. He and Satoshi left a great legacy that will last for generations. I have no words to describe the pride I feel in knowing in this thread all his work, he was a visionary man with an impressive humility, that only very few can possess. I can simply perceive that he was a brilliant man.
