RIP.

He'll be back when Bitcoin is $1 million sooner than you think.

I hope so!

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I'm very sad to hear about his death. Both his work and his perseverance in the face of his illness are incredibly inspiring. The world is much poorer with him gone. Hopefully he will be able to return someday.

I don't understand why people talk as if he's dead. He is pronounced clinically dead, but it's not like his body has decayed beyond possible future resuscitation. He is alive, in fact, right now, he is immortal.

RIP Hal Finney, hist contributions were simply great!

It's quite interesting he's now frozen down. At the remote possibility of him being restored to full operational mode in the future, I would love to see that headline, if it's in my time.
