According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

"change" addresses. they are hidden to the client but still add to the total balance.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Stupid? What change or some other addresses have with problem guy posted? Nothing at all.

Try to rescan.
you can't into english

change addresses are addresses that are created to return the unspent portion of inputs(s) that would otherwise become "fees".

Guy asked about the balance of a single address, not wallet. If blockchain.info shows 100 and guy's client shows 115 BTC
for the same address than there is some transaction or transactions missing on either blockchain.info or guy's client. All other
addresses have nothing to do with it.
when was the last time a client showed the balance of a single address?

As the argument above points out, it is not clear what you are asking.  Most clients are capable of having multiple addresses.  When you look at the address at blockchain.info, you are only seeing the balance at that address.  You client might be storing additional bitcoins at another address without telling you about that address.

What client are you using? How are you determining the value of the address in the client?  Are you sure that none of that value is stored at a different address?  Why are you certain?
