I periodically get a message in red that appears at the top of the page, which states "You are banned from posting or sending private messages due to Trolling"... and sure enough, when it is there, I can do absolutely nothing.

Why is this strange? Because, I have never trolled or treated anyone in a rude manner whatsoever, and you can feel free to examine my 5 posts. In fact, I remember that I actually received this message before I had ever made a single post.

Is there something wrong with the system here? I hope an administrator can look into this issue.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Are you browsing the forum through TOR or some other VPN service?  If so, then the exit IP may have been banned.

Yes, that's probably it. I can't say I agree with such a policy, but of course that's not for me to decide here. Thank you.

There were problems in the past with people creating lots of accounts for trolling and most of it came through TOR.

Exactly correct.  Though it's odd it says "trolling," I could've sworn this was in prevention of spam-bots...

It could be an old ban, only an admin could really tell you.

And forum specifically does not allow registration from TOR. I find this very annoying. Everyone has right for privacy, isn't it?
To prevent spam-bots, there is already stron captcha. And trolls will always find a way to trick the system.

Yeah it's a little outdated.  But the forum is outdated as well Tongue  The all-powerful and beloved admin is still working out new forum software.

Pff..since when are proxies and VPN services not allowed on forums? I often change my IP to do various stuff, and I forget to change it back when using forums Tongue

I got the same error before. I didn't question it initially because I deserved it.
