All speculation on future events for profit is considered 'gambling'. Be it a stock, or a knc miner. Even an investment in bitcoin is a gamble at this point, but it's not the worst/ most risky investment you can make.

Now purchasing Ethereum, on the other hand.. Grin

Day trading between the crypto's is a confirm or deny if your predictions are right.
For some it is gambling.
