OK the chain is finally synched and the pool is up:

https://etc.suprnova.cc

please add to OP, thx !

Hi will this pool work with nicehash if so what are the settings. Thanks

Not yet, i've seen nicehash has added support for a new stratum variant, i spent half weekend getting support for the old variant and i'm now restarting my work to get the new variant working.. I think in 1-2 days it'll be done.

NiceHash supports several stratum variants (we're mentioning also Ethereum pools below, just for reference, we're aware that this thread is about ETC, but pool technology is the same)

0- the "early stratum" (it was used by ethpool, ethermine, coinotron, mph, nanopool)
1.1- the eth-proxy (aka dwarfpool) style (used by dwarfpool and some other pools)
1.2- the eth-proxy-sammy (used by all pools, based on open-source https://github.com/sammy007/open-ethereum-pool; for example https://ethc.coin-miners.info, http://ethc.epool.io/, etc.)
2- the standardized EthereumStratum/1.0.0: this is the preferred one, documented here, supported by coinotron, hitchpool, etc.)

Best regards,
NiceHash team.

if the dao hacker moves his coins (which I think he should!) then he will dump and price will go down. right?

Important dates:
First childDAO’s creation period ends: 01.07.2016–16:25:02 CEST
First date for ~2000ETH leaving the system: 16.07.2016–17:04:37 CEST (split proposal #8)
End of creation time for the DarkDAO: 14.07.2016–05:34:48 CEST
First date an attackerDAO can split: 21.07.2016–05:34:48 CEST
First date an attackerDAO can withdraw through proposal: 28.07.2016–05:34:48 CEST
First date an attackerDAO can withdraw through split proposal: 31.08.2106 05:34:48 CEST

Good overview, thanks!

Not bad. With more pools coming up the hash rate shuld go up further.

Excuse me, maybe I don't understand so I repeat the question.

Cannot this be dumped to nothing by VitalikEther followers?

1)   they have balances in ETHClassic and they will dump them
2)  they can mine ETHClassic with their equipment and they will dump.

One thing I don't understand (related to point 1.)..
If V. Buterin had let's say 1 million ETH before HF does it mean he has now 1 million ETH AND 1 million ETC?

I'm trying to send ETC to poloniex and I can't or I don't know what to do. I've sent the transaction twice already for the same amount i had in my wallet. doesn't show up on the blockchain and doesn't get any confirmations(0). What should i do?

L.E. second attempt failed as well so i restarted the wallet and now it went through. it shows 12 confrimations. shows up in polo as well. all good!

Its speculated that the reason its not completely dumped yet is because most ppl dont even know they have ETC in their accounts yet..

So an attack followed by a hard fork can make a dev team way much richer? Is that a fair concept? If it is the case, I'm gone and I lost all my faith in crypto!

But this is not the fault of V. Buterin that suddenly a second coin was created, no? This coin should never be created in the first place. Look how it is dropping, the thief is just dumping all his coins on us. He will runaway with $50,000,000 and we will have a worthless coin, correct?

I doubt he is already dumping. He is probably not that stupid.

The dumpers are probably people that do not understand what a hard fork means and consider this "free money" that appeared in their polo account.

What do you meran, not so stupid? The price has been dropping a lot, so most likely he already cash out. This coin is own 80% by the thief. Around 10% was still on this fork, correct? The thief stole for $50M when ETH was trading at 0.02 or so. Now ETC has a marketcap of $60M, how much do you really think is not part of the thief? Also most likely the people that didn't swap forgot about their coins in total. so almost all volume that is being created is coming from the thief. Strange that Poloniex added this coin. Really strange.

I don't understand why you think the HF chain (Eth) is the legit chain and that his is extra money.
Eth is extra money that emerged from hard forking to bailout their asses in a banker's way. Just the notion of a team controlling which chain is legitimate is wrong.

How can you exist in crypto world without understanding these concepts? Go back to your stock market

The 'thief' is not stealing, just exploiting a flawed set of rules within TheDao only....The 'second' coin is the fork created to reverse TheDao (and foil the'attack') , changing rules 'arguably' for the better. That will be accepted by the majority of course.

Within ETC, the Dao will be drained of Ether, but after that the original chain will still have value.

You understand that the thief doesn't have access to his funds and cannot dump right? right??  Huh
