One of them is $ETH buy support, other one is $ETC buy support. I know what you're thinking: no, other way around.

I had this same issue with my 2 rigs with r7 370 cards in them....I was using windows...downloaded both ethminer and Claymore....tried both...same result. What seemed to work for me was really looking carefully at the bios...I disabled 'Intel Virtualisation'...and anything that used the cpu's built in gpu...after that, all cards were recognized. * With multiple card systems, you have to me patient...sometimes put one card in at a time, let it connect, then reboot manually, then it will show in device manager as a display gpu..repeat the process with each added card. Also, some boards may not like 4 cards in the first 4 slots...I put 4 cards in the first 4 slots, then skipped the fifth pcie and plugged the last card in the last pcie slot...all 5 cards worked great ever since! Also, windows 7 is fussy with more than 4 cards...go to windows 8.1 or 10 for 5 card rigs...or linux is even batter (better hashrate per card). Hope this helps somebody. Took me 12+ hours to get my two rigs up and mining (Ushing Claynore without decred or siacoin...seemed to slow down etc mining a bit...not sure if this is 'fixed'...also, the value from decred is not enough to offset the loss of etc when mining in dual mode...and dual mode really pushes your gpu's...I found better temps with 'mode 1 (only etc) than with decred enabled on Claymore's.

+begging

Wow, so much unrelated and wrong here.

I have no problems using onboard gpus combined with 5+ pci-e.  On MANY different kind of rigs.
Settings... all in the settings.

Claymores can be used to verify if your settings are right or not, as it autodetects gpu and no need to adress what platforms...
If it works with claymores, you really just need to check the settings in the other minersoftware.

Your BIOS will say somthing like, "turn off embedded graphics when gpu detected = y-n"

You need to do this before you connect any gpu to mobo and not after.

depends on the mobo/os maybe.

just built an eth miner with a gigabyte z97x/celeron 1840 with integrated graphics. took the mobo out of the box, plugged the r9 390 in, hooked the monitor to the 390 instad of the mobo, installed ubuntu 15.10 and the amd video driver and started mining with the same config that the other builds have. no platform switch needed for me. claymores dual miner.

...I'm not an 'expert'...just relaying my experience. Some of it was mistyped. For example: on my gigabyte board, four cards (first three with pcie riser cables) worked, but the fifth card would not when plugged in the next slot. I finally switched to windows 8.1...placed each card in one at a time...all worked, except I had to skip a pcie slot from 4th to 5th card...then all has worked great since then. Different boards and miners have different experiences I think. I have both rigs working great...one using windows 10 pro, the other windows 8.1 Also, catalyst drivers 15.12 really seemed to work better for multiple cards...but I have two twin card rigs using r9 370x's and they work fine with the new 16.2 ctalyst driver packages....(someone can tell me why that is the case??)....anyway...I'm not begging...just putting my experience on the board hoping it helps future builders, not huge farms.... If anyone has any script mining asics machines you can put them to use mining ETC.. You wont be supporting the chain because its script but you can still select ETC as your payout
https://prohashing.com
Wow, i have script ASIC!  Can anyone feedback on this site?  Is it a scam?

Don't bother. Just mine whatever your ASIC is for and buy ETC with the proceeds if you want to support it. Paying someone else 5% to do it is ridiculous.

...my setup:

   rig 1: 5x r7 370 sapphire radeon nitro's 4gb cards
            Gigabyte-z97x-gaming mobo
intel haswell 1840 dual core 2.8 ghz
             2x 4 gb ddr 3 1600 ram
antec 850 bronz cert. psu (I know...but works cool and fine so far, but have a new 1200 watt antec just in case..or for next rig I'm building)
             windows 8.1
using Claymore's Dual miner with 15.12 Catalyst drivers.....works great.

    rig 2: 4 x r9 370x 4gb sapphire nitros (better hashrates than the non x cards)
              Asus z170m mobo (for skylake)
Intel core i7 6700k @ 4.0 ghz (way overkill for a mining rig, but can multitask while mining Grin)
850 watt Gold certified corsair psu (it's good)
16 gb corsair 2800 mhz ddr 4 dram (overkill here...lol)
windows 10 pro with Claymor'es miner using 15.12 drivers

have twin rigs with dual core's and r9 370x's (love these cards..great hash power for the money)
450 watt Silverstone psu (gold plus)...running no problem..even with a mild overclock on the cards Grin
windows 10 pro...Claymore...and 16.20 drivers...ok...so that's my setup...hashrate jumps a bit because I run through a vpn (in China)and seperate rigs under one worker may fluctuate the hashrate more than a single rig?..I'm from Canada
....I get good results...kind of mix-mash of two rigs and 2 twin card computers...but gives me options without having to turn off all my miners to do other things...so it has it's advantages....also can split mine different coins too...so it can be a good setup for a hobby miner like myself.

Anyway, main point is...I liked eth..until the hf...I really appreciated the move to continue the original immutable blockchain...ETC is my coin of choice.

That's about right....5 coins per 5 hours...about 24 coins a day....you'll get less on suprnova...at least I checked their calculator..I'm running near 200 mh/s...only get like 4-5 coins per day Roll Eyes...don't get me wrong, suprnova is a great pool..I think their calculator is off a bit...

there is more shitcoins on exchangers than coins that can make a difference.
however, yes, etc volume is -/+ double the volume of eth.

in my opinion eth is stable now (for the time being, its not moving too much up nor too much down)

in my honest feeling, etc will be pumped to rival eth within end of september 2016.

the problem about this is, more volume either buy or sell is related to both eth and etc thus the bitcoin sudden decline.

but bitcoin will hit up in a few days. its always the steep decline before the pump.

once bitcoin is pumped, etc will suffer. THATS when i will gamble on etc. the price might be lower than $1

at that point, btc will be dumped to buy etc. eth on the other hand will be more of a, secure buy. but for quick profit, etc will be pumped once the pump and dump of btc occur.

those are not facts, just speculations based on chart analysis. etc is too young to say its going to die. in fact with the amount of transaction volume on etc. its the best bet for this august/september.

time shall say
