Pokemon GO and Bitcoin would be a killer combo

Pokemon Go will not integrate bitcoin features in their game unless there will be massive request from it's users.

For Pokemon Go to integrate bitcoin into it's features, it means the players have to pay something. The pay would be in fiat, but players will have the option of paying in bitcoins.

Would it be possible to develope some kind of additional app which integrates with pokemon go so that you can play for some coins against your opponent?
Maybe even some kind of tournament?

I have been testing it out and it's still very stages but you can tell the game has huge potential if they add more stuff, like more complex battle system with turns instead of just tapping on the screen which is pretty dumb and so on.

But the great thing would be to get BTC instead of those coins. Also being able to buy stuff with BTC (you can already do with fiat but not BTC).

I hope that we can see BTC in games like this. Imagine the extra incentive of getting BTC and not only Pokemons.

i will play it 24hours if they will put some BTC reward or BTC wager in the pokemon battle and buy ingame items using bitcoins it so much fun if they will put it

Maybe in the future its a real possibility once lightning network is finally working, so we could process all the millions of transactions needed daily. It would be cool but for now we should aim at being able to buy stuff with BTC (not in game but buying the pokecoins with BTC)

yeah they will be a perfect couple if it will happen.. but the problem is if the owner who made pokemon go or developers accept bitcoin as payment.

Honestly they are afraid to use bitcoin because they are preventing cheating in pokemon go.. maybe they are using bitcoin as payment for your coins and pokecoins they are afraid of scammers..

A lot of the ideas i read here are actually very good. It would be good if bitcoin would have some kind of marketing team who had some funds from the community.
Then they good contact companies to realize these great ideas. In the end it is about adoption and working together.

Pokemon Go was developed by Nintendo, Niantic, and Google. Pokemon Go is nothing more than an augmented reality version of Google Maps. The simplest way to implement Bitcoin would be adding Google Wallet into the app and having BTC as an accepted form of payment. This could be done virtually overnight.

I like the ideas, its a great ideas actually, maybe some of developer can implemented in other games that similar to pokemon go, but the problem is not all people know bitcoin and when come to the game that can earn money, the game itself is going to need sponsor or advertisement  to cover the cost

I already have found a topic like this last month in bitcointalk.org. many have commented that it is a very interesting fact and possibly revolutionize the game and bitçoin usage. But this is just a probability and far from reality. If you read a certain article in bitcoin news then you can tell that this things are mere just theories and assumptions or what if. But let's nat phase out this possibility in the future

Yeah,  Pokemon Go is so hot right now. If pokemon integrate with bitcoin it will give positive impact to bitcoin because bitcoin will widely known to people. And bitcoin price might be increase high.

All of the payments will directly into the fiat value, but for physically there is another form to depute the fiat value. and that's like google credit and bitcoin. but all of that is linked to the one goal.

yes I agree with you. bitcoin will become a payment option. as gogle play. not required for use. This is one feature to make it easier to buy items in the game pokemon go.

This will be hard. Think of the owner first. Why would I pick bitcoin as a means of payment if users want to buy premium items. One problem is users might take it as a hard part. First they will need to understand what is this currency. Second is they might say why not just dollar. They would want something that is internationally used.

it sounds good to me. the thing is, can one of us talk to the developer of pokemon go to add bitcoin in their games? or should Satoshi be?

I mean, if we want this to happen, we need to move fast before they get their own payment system.

Yea it would be pretty sick to have bitcoin incorporated into PokemonGo but idk how they would make it work :/
