It was good to see that the author of that article posted quite a few informed comments rebuting some of the misinformation being presented in the comments section on his article.  Though, there are the most common criticisms of bitcoin present as well (ponzi scheme accusations, fractional reserve banking will destroy it, how can you be sure the creator/one of the early adoptors won't arbitrarily inflate the currency, etc...)
